As a fellow Youngstowner, I really hope this kid gets his shot.

I can't wait.

Also, do you know if BW3 will be showing the fight?

Pavlik Faces Miranda in Memphis Main Event
Nice slap down to the 'supposed' Main Event tomorrow night. Pavlik vs. Miranda will be a war. But I'm telling you: KELLY PAVLIK WILL WIN!

Don't know if Pavlik is ready for Jermaine Taylor, but we are going to find out. Tough to get a good read on Pavlik with the poor showing of Miranda, but good right hand. Will have to be willing to jab against a more accomplished fighter. Started to do it once he won the fiirst 4 rounds and looked a little shaky with avoiding punches and landing the jab with anything behind it. Some holes that a straight right hand could find give him trouble.

Were Taylor to sac up and fight Pavlik, I think we'll see a more defensive and patient Ghost. There is no doubt in my mind Pavlik was on a kamikaze mission to end that fight ASAP. I wouldn't gage his chances of beating Taylor on that fight.

Please tell me you're kidding.
Not to mention, why would Taylor, the champ, go there?
I know you love this kid, but come on now.

It says a title fight would be hard there with the 6,000 seats.
If there is a title fight, it will NOT be vs Jermain Taylor but maybe Billy Bob Taylor or Joe Has Been off the streets.
Is also mentions both guys fighting on the same card, then meeting, that's pretty stupid too.
Wishful thinking.

The right fights at the right time hardly ever happen anymore.

intenso wrote:I agree, it's going to come down to $$. But after reading JT's comments after his fight I think he wants to fight Pavlik. He was frustrated that Spinks spent the whole fight running around the ring and I think he believes that he can put on a better fight against a more aggressive opponent.
