boxing is just not interesting anymore after watching the UFC as much as I do. I have always enjoyed fighting (ask any of the herds of guys on this board that went to school with me) and UFC most closely represents it.

Boxing has had serious credibility issues since the 40s and the slew of questionable decisions in the late 90s and early 00s didnt do much to help that. Coupled with a system that allows (and encourages) the best fighters to continually duck each other, boxing just isnt that interesting and hasn't been since Jake LaMotta fought Ray Robinson for the fourth time.

What day and time is everyone heading down?
I should be there Saturday around 3 or so.
I'm planning on going to eat at 5 and then going to the arena
If anyone wants to meet up, let me know.

I recommend Wendell's Alumni Grill on Lane Ave. Good place, good prices, good happy hour deals. It is far enough from Nationwide that you can avoid arena district ass raping and crowds.

Get off 71 on 270W, take the 315S exit from 270. Take 315S to the Lane Ave exit. Make a left on Lane Avenue and Wendell's will be on the left about 1/2 mile past the Schott.

To get to Nationwide from Wendell's take a left on Lane then make a right onto High St. Take High St. about 3 miles to the Arena district.

The Varsity Club is right next Wendell's also, and that is a sentimental favorite of mine although the food is average at best.

Spoon, with how big a Buckeye fan you are, you should really go to the Varsity Club if you've never been.

I have been there(Varsity Club) before.
Thanks for the advice boys.
My hotel is a few miles away from the arena.
My plan is to take a cab there and just kinda mosey around in the arena area.
With all the fighters probably being in the area and at the Arnold show, I am hoping to run into some.
Hopefully the fighters will also tell us(the fans) where the after party is, like all the other events.
I'm f-ing pumped

What a great day for me and my wife
We went to the bar inside the arena. They were having an XM station broadcast from there and fighters were in and out of there.
They all were nice enough to stop for everyone for pictures.
I got a great picture with 3 young superstars: Josh Burkman Joe Stevenson, and Kenny Florian.
I also had a chance to shake hands and get a pic with UFC President Dana White.
It was a great day

Kenny Florian looks like the monkey guy from SNL.
