Semi-intriguing fight on Friday Night Fights tonight

Unread postby swerb » Fri Jan 30, 2009 2:43 pm

Herman Ngoudjou and Juan Urango, the #5 and #8 ranked Jr Welters in Rings ratings. Ngoudjou is an aggressive fighter, Urango a big puncher ... should make for an entertaining fight. Urango's only loss is to Hatton, Ngoudjou got kinda screwed in my mind in both of his losses, to Jose Luis Castillo and Paulie Malignaggi.

A lot on the line for both guys as well. Its for some shitty belt, but more importantly, the winner gets into the thick of things at 140 with Hatton, Bradley, Witter, Holt, and Torres.

I think it's a very good fight. And for free on ESPN which is always a bonus.
I'll be watching and I'm looking forward to this one.

Urango wins a decent yet ugly fight.
Neither one of these guys can be elite. Not a chance in hell.
The 10th round somehow went for 5 minutes and 10 seconds.

Yep.

Both guys are good enough to beat the dregs of the division, yet will always lose when they step up in class.

That said, there's not too much bona fide talent at 140 besides Hatton ... assuming Pac Man doesn't stay at that weight (no one left to fight there) after he beats Ricky's ass.

But I agree cuz, both guys are limited.
