I heard something awhile back on the possibility of this fight, but haven't heard anything lately. Someone please tell me that this is not going to happen.

You'd almost have to think at this point that only places that allow cock fighting would grant Holyfield a license to fight. Yet, nothing would surprise me as far as boxing is concerned. If some two -bit promoter can put money in his and Evander's pocket he'll crawl back into the ring.

The inital article had stated they would fight in Europe (I think it was Germany or Switzerland, but not sure). I can just picture them slugging it out at a cheap beer garden as an low-rent Oktoberfest side show. Heavyweight boxing is struggling.

It was a go, then cancelled.
Then another opponent backed out and it might actually happen.
Unreal.

Evander was my favorite, but he needs to retire. Seriously. I don't want to see him killed.

I am watching this fight now and it might be the worst fight I have ever seen.
2 pieces of garbage.
A joke.

Maybe the worst decision I have ever seen
Holyfield lost and got robbed.
What a fucking disgrace to boxing.

The entire boxing corner of the internet seems to be up in arms over Valuev getting the decision. I guess it would matter more if Holyfield wasn't so far over the hill that it really doesn't matter, except for him getting that 5th heavyweight belt from a guy who shouldn't even be holding one in the first place.
