I'm one of those nuts that is constantly changing putters.
I've never been a great putter, and have always been a better ball striker than short game player. I've putted slightly better this year, almost solely because I'm now making the vast majority of my putts from 4-6 feet.
But I never hit those 8-20 footers we all get many chances at per round. And I still three jack at least 2-3 times a round, and could easily shave 4-5 strokes per round off my score if I could ever evolve into an above average putter like many of the guys I play with.
I was using a Wilson knock off of the weighted White Hot for most of the year, and have been switching back and forth with that and a Single Ball knockoff. Couple others as well. My boss and buddy I work with both use Two Balls that I use from time to time and have always liked.
However, I shortened my swing this year. I've always felt more comfortable with heavier putters (even using lead tape at one time), but as I try and refine, shorten, and tighten my putting stroke ... have been more comfortable with my lighter putter.
I've been trying and thinking of trying (buying) a sleek single blade a la Tiger & Phil. Maybe one of the lighter Oddysey putters.
What do you swing? Any advice?
