Hole in One

New postby fundamentals » Thu Sep 10, 2009 8:08 am

Anybody here ever have one or played with someone who has done it?
Saw a hole in one recently after a snap hook tee shot hit a tree and then rolled onto green and into the cup, one of the darnedest things I have seen on the links.
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

"We had a great time together."

Never made a hole in one. Never seen one live from a playing partner. Like most people, have had a ton of close calls.
"This back and forth is great and all, but you guys are missing the main point, that is, how many jerk-offs are following David Huff on twitter? Those with a fascination with hard hit balls?

Look, Lead Man ain't the most wordly guy, but when he drums up enough time to follow David Huff on twitter, he'll know it's pretty much all over." ~ Lead Pipe

I'm a horrible golfer, but I had one instance at Mastick Woods down in the Metroparks in Fairview/North Olmsted. #4, it's about a 150 yarder. About the third time out, I took a 6 iron to it and dropped it within 4 feet.

In fact, I think it's the only birdie I've ever gotten as well.

wasnt playing with them, but at a scramble I was on the 2nd fairway and was watching the guys on the par 3 3rd. Its a bitch too, like 185 up hill at least 2 clubs and a two tiered green with the pin at the back the guy hit it to the center, rolled it up the hill and nailed it. It was amazing to watch.

I got mine on the 17th hole at Pleasant View Golf Club in Paris, OH(Louisville area). It's their #2 handicap hole and plays 185 yards over a pond. Ironically, it was the hole-in-one for a car the day before in a 4-man scramble that my team lost in a playoff on this very hole. I used a 5 iron. Titleist 681(Tiger's irons) which I had planned to sell on EBAY. They were selling hot at the time. I can't sell those irons now. My Father-in-Law was jumping up and down. He seemed happier than I was. Witnessing a hole-in-one I've seen twice. One friend behind me dropped one in on a 200 yard hole. In our golf association we have a guy that carded a double-eagle on a par 5. Money shot!
