George Mason is in the Final Four.

Crazy stufff...but I can't wrap my head around whether this is good or bad for College Hoops.

Sure the fans go nuts over it...and its all in the spirit of March Madness...but will the Best Team in College Basketball actually win the crown this year? Does it make much sense to marginalize the regular season?

Just thinking out loud.

I'm definately with you, speaking as a fan. I would love to see GW win it all, especially considering the other three teams.

But I wonder what the coaches think about the current system.

I like it as well. I like the fact that a small, little known school comes in and takes out the big name school. Who wants to see all four number one seeds in the final four? It makes it very interesting, and unpredictable. It also helps that my boys from Chapel Hill lost to a team still in the tournament.
