Louisville in big trouble

10-0 nothing, and Louisville has no defense and UK has the ball.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

LOL, yeah, I guess they'll just tighten it up at halftime.

Anyone got a guess how many points KY will have at 1/2 time?

My guess 37.

Or that is what happens when over rated teams ranked above you meet reality.

I'll take a nice 3 spot jump this week. Number 8 is fine with me.

There is no team in the country this year that is fool proof, not even USC, THAT is the best defense Carrol has had?

Nice to see you caring again.

Yeah, I guess Elon, UNC, FAU, and UCF were all unavailable.

I'll tell you what, I'm an OSU homer, but USC, Florida and LSU would destroy us this year.

I wouldn't disagree that LSU and USC would be difficult games for us, blowouts? I don't know about that just yet.

Tell you what for this supposedly being Pete Carrol's best defense they have not impressed me yet. Plus we have great speed on D, as good as probably anybody in the country. Our DB's are fast and BIG, if USC were to beat us it wouldn't be through domination in the air.

IMO LSU and OK are the most impressive teams right now.

Right now,

USC, LSU, Florida, and Oklahoma would not even be competitive games.

The Buckeyes defense has been pretty good, but they have not faced anything close to the offenses that those guys bring and the offense, well, we will see how good they are after a couple of more scrimmages.

True, but those teams have not faced any thing close to a D like ours yet either.

I wouldn't expect a win by us in any of those match ups but I also don't see huge blowouts, I see 14-17 pt differentials myself, for the most part.

IMO people still tend to look back to the NC game against Florida too much in attempting to objectively analyze the Bucks current team, particularly the defense. If any thing about that game was an anomaly it was the Buckeyes D's performance.

There is simply too much proof to go back on from 05-06 to warrant any kind of thoughts that out D would get shredded in all those big match ups.

Is it possible our O would get shut down in most of those, sure, much greater chance of that happening than the other IMHO.

Donny, I think you are grossly over-rating the defense right now. I think it is very good, and has potential to be freaking awesome by year's end.....but if they were to play FLA, LSU, OK or USC right now we get torched for 30+.

That said, I believe the one thing going for us is we now how the next 5 games to GROW as a team and for this defense to get to that elite level which I too think it could be.....and who knows, those matchups which look like smoke contests now with FLA, USC, LSU and OK now may look A LOT different at year's end.

I just have one of those vibes this team may be like the 2002 team....the only question is will we catch that break or two to keep us from a loss in that game or two every year where you don't play up to par.

Different week and Louisville continues to be overrated (and suck defensively). 21-7 to Syracuse? GO GO PRESEASON RANKINGS!

This is amazing. Cuse is horrific.

Syracuse now leads 38-21 with 10 minutes left.

Announcer called this potentially the biggest upset in Big East history, but Temple over Va Tech in Blacksburg in '98 will still be the clear #1 even if 'Cuse pulls this one off. This Louisville team looks like a straw dog.

Louisville is no good and I have said it since day one. They looked disinterested against MTSU and still look disinterested. Their defense ranks among the worst 1A defenses I have seen recently.
