Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

This kills me, it really does. I know they had no choice, but football was meant to be played on real grass. Especially Ohio State football.

On a positive note though, it does feel pretty cool being there live for the last game on real grass at the Shoe.

If my feet weren't burning from standing for 13 hours straight, I woulda rushed the field and took a chunk home with me. In hindsight, I wish I would have. I was just so emotionally and physically spent after that Michigan game.

Yeah, I get what you are saying Rich.

At least we both knew going into it, that it was most likely going to be the last game played on the turf.

Here is my next piece of speculation; fairly soon, the OHSAA state championship football games will eventually move to Ohio Stadium. Teams from the southwest are rightfully saying that travelling to NE ohio puts them at a disadvantage in the championship games and the parents have some heartburn over the issue (driving 5 hours for a football game).

The fact that they law it down like that cracks me up.

It takes a good half a years worth of games for the rubber to settle in. The first few games are sure to have alot of slips and missed cuts. Honestly, it does look rather sharp though. The colors pop.
