Yeah, he was a Spartan.
The funny thing about Dials is that, he wasn't really that good in high school. I played against him a few times (and by that I mean, my school played against him, coaches tend to frown on skinny 5'9'' guards dealing with 6'8'' big men in the post) and wasn't all that impressed. He was "good," but not "D-1 impact player" good. More of a tall player that utilized his size rather than having any recognizeable skills.
Then he played at OSU as a frosh and impressed early. I was very surprisd at how well he was playing. Obviously he has continued his success in Columbus and now is the Big Ten PoTY. Goes to show how some kids improve throughout their college years, and also shows that some HS teams dont know how to use their athletes.
