Did McShay seriously just say that Mack could work on his strength? That kid is enormous and plays with excellent power and strength. I am very impressed and I bet this kid ends up in the 2nd round.

Nice pressure out of Bosa.

Joey Bosa has been the best pass rusher today. Granted the DL rotations have been crazy to try and get everyone work and he's gotten as much work as anyone, but damn.

No fault found, just guarded optimism based on the level of competition. I think that is warranted here.

In the last two minutes, Beth Mowins has talked about "Braxton Oliver" and "Devin Brown". I'm guessing the only reason she hasn't been fired is because she'd cry sexism.

Let's be real here, Miller has had lots of time except when Mack has come running. I wanna see this improved footwork when Jabrill Black is diving at his legs.

Seriously, Mack is the best defensive player on the field for either team. That kid is awesome.

I am Furls, but I'll answer anyways.

He is FAR ahead of Pryor at the beginning of 2010, he is ahead of Pryor year 2 in the NFL. Those 2 out routes he threw are throws that Pryor still cannot make. Neither play stood but it wasn't because of the throw.

The only bad thing Miller has done in this game was underestimate Mack's ability to defend Jack Mewhort's cut block. I think he took for granted that Mewhort would put Mack on the turf. As far as actually throwing the ball there is no comparison.

Miller's mechanics are TIGHT, his arm motion has always been great (particularly compared to Pryor's awkward motion) and he has improved greatly at incorporating his lower body. Watch 2012 vs. anyone for a stark contrast in what bad lower body mechanics can do to an otherwise good set of mechanics.

Look at the way Miller spins the ball with that bad ass over the top throwing motion. Seriously, his arm slot is like Bert Blyleven throwing a curve ball circa 1985.

Not even a little bit upset! I figured you were ball busting, I just don't want to come off as overly critical as I try to temper my optimism. Miller is FAR EXCEEDING my expectations, seriously. If he does this all year, he wins the Heisman going away particularly against this awful schedule.

My wife wants me to go to a BBQ after the game, but I am not sure that is a good idea. I am about 6 high lifes into a buzz and I am thinking about tearing into some Scotch.

I have a bottle of Balvenie 15 that I am thinking about tearing into. Maybe I will have my son drive me? I kind of want to watch scUM play CMU so I can root against them. MY dream season has OSU 14-0 and scUM 0-12. I don't care about B1G perception.

There are lots of different types of Scotch, you have to find the ones you like, research and research the others. I find Scotch much more enjoyable if I know what I am supposed to be tasting in each malt.

I have been on a bourbon tear lately too. I have recently enjoyed some Knobb Creek, Elijah Craig, Jefferson's Reserve Presidential Select (fantastic) and Buffalo Trace. As a Scotch drinker, I am always amazed by how far my dollars go on Bourbon. A decent bottle of Scotch is at least 50 bucks. You can get some really nice Bourbon at 25.00 or so.

I agree if you are drinking JW Red or Dewars White you may as well drink paint thinner. I recommend staying away from the Peaty Islay stuff until you acquire a taste. Balvenie 15 is very similar to a great Bourbon (hints of caramel and vanilla) with a Scotch finish. JW Gold is very good too for Bourbon drinkers.

They look like a team that hasn't faced live competition in 10 months.

If a game like this is what Urbs needs to kick this D's ass then let it happen today, as we can afford it while we hang 55.

Armani Reeves, victimized again.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

I've seen all I need to out of Armani Reeves. He will be replaced on the 2 deep by Conley, Apple or Burrows soon.
