We all know that Vonn Bell is the new hotness, but I love reading about players like this. Reading this article behind the lines you see a smart, tough and disciplined competitor.

Don't get me wrong, I like the athletic freaks, but if there is one thing I have learned in the last 20ish years watching college football it is that kids like Thompson don't bust often. That is not to say that there may be better players on the field, but Thompson has some very strong character indicators. I am pretty sure that there was a recent article somewhere about him helping a sheriff out with unruly drunks or something.
