SEC taking over Ohio

First it was Urban Meyer at Ohio State, and now Terry Bowden at Akron (awesome hire for the Zips).

As much of a homer as I am, that hire surprised the hell out of me. H O L Y S H I T. We were all expecting the next Notre Dumb assistant who never head coached a youth team before.

Christmas came three days early in the AK.

When you know your program is a useless piece of shit:

When you act like Terry Bowden is actually still a capable football coach

Fuck Akron, Bowden is a bum, etc, etc, etc.

There is a reason the only job he can get is a shithole like Akron.

Dude was coaching D2 for a few years. How good is he?

Larry Kehres would be a better hire.

Keep pimpin' Spin.

A D3 coach is better than a D2 coach with D1 experience (47–17–1, 30–14–1 in SEC)?

Turned Samford from a 3-6 school to a 9-1 school the next season, and turned Auburn from 5-5-1 to 11-0 in one year.

I'll take Terry. Definitely a major step up from what we had.

I think he wakes up from a drunken stupor and exclaims to his agent "Akron! I thought you said Auburn!"

Bowden would need both hands to cradle Frank Solich's massive sack of Famous Idaho Potatoes.

I cannot believe there was more than one response to this topic. I figured Spin would comment and it would die mercifully after that.

I like that Bowden announced how excited he was and that he was taking the gig via youtube as opposed to actually going to Akron.

Exactly what would have happened at any SEC/B1G/Legit school :lmfao:

He'll do it next Wednesday when a trip there isn't so depressing this close to Christmas.

Seriously? Spin, the biggest asshole on the boards, starts touching himself over a drunken failure of a human being being hired into his shit hole and you don't think people are going to take pot shots at him?

Hey he is still the star of my favorite all time college thread on this site.

Maybe I was just hoping it would die without notice, lol.

That is strange. The U will not allow interviews until next week. I have no clue why.

The Browns shove their HC in front of the mob by himself without giving him the answers to their questions. UAk hides their coach.

I don't care if he smokes more roach than Cheech and Chong combined and the AC's have to drag dead hookers out of his office after dark, as long as there are no Penn State issues and he wins games. Coach IaDon'tKnow went 2-22 the last two years. It won't be hard to improve on that.
