No. Taking a life in cold blood is not the same thing as taking a life to defend yourself. They're not even comparable, legally or morally.

The 2nd statement is maybe the dumbest shit i've ever heard you say. Dahmer KILLED AND ATE HUMAN BEINGS.

Murder is worse, simply because that person is gone forever. This is common sense shit.

And FTR before some cunt says i'm defending pedos, i'm not, i'm just saying it's not on par with murder. Which is common sense. I hope Sandusky gets put in general population, but he won't because a prison is required to protect inmates the best they can. Which means PC.

Of course you're not defending pedo's, that is common sense shit.

But you are completely under estimating the damage done by sexual abuse to a child.

Abusing a child in any way is the most gutless act on the planet, period.

Plus morality can be very subjective, so that is why there would be differing opinions on this.

In the end their both extremely bad things, so I'm not sure in the sense of arguing the minute details of either.

Saw a story on the news last night that meshes what you two cats are talking about. Guy is at a BBQ, hears his daughter scream, runs over and catches the molester in the act.

And punches him to death.

Big debate as to if it's going to go to a grand jury.

FWIW a local station had a poll as to what should happen - criminal charges, and a couple others. 94% of the voters voted for the choice "Father of the Year."

1) Prosecutors chose not to call that kid to the stand

2) They didn't call him either because his story doesn't hold up or because he is in the second group of accusers they willingly withheld from this trial on the off-chance he goes off so they can take his ass right back to court

They didn't call him because it was to late.

If the prosecution called him to the stand, the defense would have asked for a continuance to prepare that might have taken months. They may have had to reseat the jury, and possibly start the trial over. The prosecution felt they had a strong case anyway.

The only way to avoid that would have been in the defense had called him (he was on their list as a possible witness) or if the defense had called Jerry to the stand. Then Matt could have been called by the prosecution as a rebuttal witness to Jerry's testimony, but not as a victim.

Wrong mother, the Prosecution has known about the "son" for a good while.

Like I said, either they don't buy what he is selling or he is a part of the back-up group that is being held in reserve for trial #2 should Sandusky get off this time.

And Sandusky will never get to general pop, most child molestors don't. He'd be killed in ten minutes. Guy is going to be in solitary for the rest of forever.

Few child molesters get killed, and many get assimilated rather well, it's more about who they try to hang with. Plus they get put into protective custody units at request quite often.

They get fucked with bad, but rarely killed, and many inmates feel death is not a suitable punishment for such sickos.

Then I am insane, because I very clearly remember the press talking about this months ago.

Either way, the point is that a lot of victims didn't testify, due to the whole "back-up plan" thing.

That or you might actually have a fact wrong. :-)

The disclosure from Matt Sandusky raised questions about why the attorney general’s office did not put Matt on the stand to testify in the trial.

Prosecutors probably would have been barred from putting him on the stand unless Sandusky testified about his family. That would have opened the legal door for Matt to speak

Very interesting discussion between CCN's Toobin and Sandusky's attorney. Toobin being quite frank, something you don't get to hear/see much from post trial analysis.

What sure looks like a conspiracy took place at Penn State for at least the past 15 years, and it will repeat itself. It is occurring right now in different ways at institutions across the country. It is the conspiracy of power, and now it is up to us to decide whether once and for all to crush the runaway culture of the coach, the outsized elevation of mortal institutions, and to demand accountability and responsibility. If these institutions are so important, so worthy and vital, they do not need to be protected by their followers from themselves or from the truth. Penn State and Joe Paterno should have been protecting their community, not the other way around.

The real bottom line is that sports have become too important to too many for too long...

Saw this last night from a well respected poster on the Penn St board. Looks like it might just be the tip of the iceberg. They say the cover up is usually worse then the crime but in this case it doesn't apply.

Absolute possible worst case scenario is true

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is what it is. My children, twins, and their graduation party today. a friend was one of the investigators on this case. there will be from 11 - 30 more victims coming forward. Sandusky had little asterisks behind the names of the victims.
Spanier, Baldwin, Curley, Schultz ,and Joe Paterno were all complicit in a cover up. Joe was mentioned in emails.
Sandusky was forced out and they all knew why. Bradley and Ganter perjured themselves on the stand. thank God they hired outside.
And my friend mentioned if he was not dead Paterno would be arrested. the BOT is right. Joyner is right, and Corbett is right.
It was as bad as the worst accusations. I know this fellow for fifteen years and trust him implicitly. I will answer questions from moderators in pms, but no one else. This stuff might or might not come out, but this person is privy to all the emails, evidence and such. He was actually on television last night when Sandusky came out of the courthouse.

I was at a function today where I had this conversation. I willl not respond more to this thread, only to moderators in pms with the promise of privacy.

I'm curious as to if anything will come out from Jerry's childhood, and the possibility (even likelihood) that he was abused as a child.

Either way suicide would certainly lessen the feeling of justice in this case.

Well there is a process, so he isn't guaranteed anything, at least not quickly. He could be in GP temporarily, but he's too well known so yeah most likely he will get separated rather soon. But that doesn't mean he'll be protected from being violated. HMFIC turn their heads like everybody else.

Wouldn't surprise me if he died of a heart attack sooner than later.

He's not in the facility that he will spend the rest of his life in, fucktard.

...and hearing Floyd all day would make anyone go loony.

Hence "going".

After sentencing I bet he ends up at the supermax in Colorado.

Fair chance of that, or to the place best suited for these types of sick fucks, all facilities are not equal in that regard.

Meanwhile anyone got money to help bury Rodney King, family says their short by 20K.

<------- Proud PSU fan who wanted Paterno gone 15 yrs ago

Now, after all this, I hope his legacy is tarnished forever ...and one positive to be gleaned from this should be to never hear or see his son Jay Paterno ever again

I hate that spoiled little fucking brat

I hope McQeer has nitemares for the rest of his life as well as a ton of other vile, physically harmfull events to everyone involved

The plot thickens...

http://espn.go.com/college-football/sto ... tions-2001

However, the three men opted not to alert authorities after speaking with "Joe," according to the report.

"After giving it more thought and talking it over with Joe yesterday, I am uncomfortable with what we agreed were the next steps. I am having trouble with going to everyone, but the person involved," read one of the emails, according to CNN.

Jesus.
Playing here is the closest thing to heaven. Really, I mean it's amazing to be in a place where the fans truly cherish their football team and stick behind them win or lose. We players love them, too. I feel a sense of accomplishment playing here, we are a special breed of football players with a great opportunity." ~ tOSU LB Brian Rolle

Normally one might say Joe would be rolling over in his grave, but Joe knows Jerry might be around.

The only question left is, was it 25 people that knew or 325.

I don't think thats what FMB is saying. He's just saying the reality is there will be fb in Tickle Monster Vally this fall and they will be reckoned with on the field.
