I kinda like 'em. More than anything, I like that all of tOSU's "pro combat" uni's have been styled after throwbacks, and not just ugly for ugly's sake like the Boise, TCU, Maryland, Miami etc have been in the past couple of years.

Bitch please, that is the fakest throw back ever.

The uni's suck but beyond that calling them a "throw back" is an abortion.

Nike just trying to put an Oregon spin on everybody's uni's. Could really do w/o it.
Galley Boys are slop on top of a so-so burger and a bun you coulde get from a Covneninet food mart generic pack. They the Antoine Joubert of burgers; soft, sloppy, oozing grease and cheap sauce and extremely overrated by a biased fan base. Proof that if you throw enough cheap sauce shit on a burger you still can't overcome the lame burger. -JB

I didn't call them a "throw back," I said that they were at least styled after throw backs. I liked last year's Bronze Star decal and the fact that they honored the 1942 team. I am well aware that they aren't an exact replica of the older jerseys. I just like that if they're going to do it anyway, at least they are doing something to honor those that came before them.

Overall, I'd prefer just the traditional uniforms every week. But if they're going to do this anyway (which they are), at least it's not quite as bad as Oregon, Boise, Miami and others have looked.

The consensus seems to be that the traditionalists hate them, and the players love them.

If the players feel badass wearing them, they're OK with me, even if they offend my eyeballs for 60 minutes.

I'd like to go back to the day when this was the weightiest issue facing OSU football.

Not the worst, not the best.

There were some fake pictures of black osu uniforms that were supposed to be the procombat. Those were fucking sick. Why is it I feel like I could design these special uniforms better than Nike? Is it because I am an arrogant douche, or is it because Nike ad execs have no taste?

At least they didn't try to make the helmet look like an actual Buckeye.

I hate black uniforms, they look like total shit... especially since black really isn't a major part of our color scheme.

The dry fit under garment, the one with the tree bark look, is bad ass.

The rest look like nice HS JV unis

What a fucking joke to see and read the words, Combat, Bronze Star and college football uniforms in the same breath

Lift some weights, take some roids, play some combat video games, put on a football uniform and you too can become a pretend warrior for 60 minutes on Sat or Sun...

All you need now are some paintball guns and you can become real killers....

I can sure see how any veteran (or active duty soldier) would be offended at the comparison.

I'm a traditionalist, would prefer to see them do none of this.

But those are sweet. Much better than the last couple versions.
