59 yd PR by Fields for TD, great block Ryan Shazier.

Did we really just have to call time out to avoid delay of game on a kickoff?

Yeah, thinking the same thing Pup, but at the same time, I love the playcalling speed for the O, Bauserman actually has time at the line, something Pryor never did.

I reverse jinxed Fields, so it had to be a TD. I told my son, "I don't know why they are expecting Fields to do anything today, he hasn't done anything in the last 2 years. They should have Devin Smith back there."

So you all can thank me for that TD.

Sabino still recovering the broken hand, not sure who is the starter. Personally, I think Sabino is more active and plays with better speed. I prefer to see Sabino out there.

that 66 yard TD by Toledo was a bit flukish, D looks good. Offense looks ABYSMAL.

I missed the first Q because it did not occur to me to check BTN for the game (Wisconsin on ESPN here)

Anyway, any reason OSU doesn't run the ball between the tackles? Because the can't? Or they just haven't tried?

If you are going to play Todd Boeckman at QB you need a dynamic RB and a on-line that doesn't blow.

If you are going to rely on a meh/back-up power back style RB and a O-Line that blows you need a real QB.

This is OSU's conundrum.

Yeah, it's on the SEC network. Since I'm still in this god-forsaken state, I have it here. Although I'd like to have Auburn lose, and see Penn State do well, that would lead to me making no money at the bar tonight, since bar attendance in Huntsville on a Saturday can be directly tied to performances by Alabama and Auburn.

BTN is awesome. A nice counter balance to the hot trash known as ESPeon.

Anyone know what game Urban Meyer is sucking at calling right now?

Fact. They need a bit more shake out the RBs. Rod Smith looks much better than Hyde. Smith does not have that Ted Ginn/Chris Wells playmaker thing going right now, but you can see flashes of it. Hyde seems just boring, I see more explosion out of Smith.

Bauserman has time to throw, he is getting time, he is missing receivers and he is slow through his progressions. He is also cracking any time there is pressure. It is officially, full time Miller time. I was hoping that what we saw from Bauserman last week was growth, it turns out it was just a mediocre QB taking advantage of a bad team.

You are 100% dead on about Smith Furls. He just feels like he could be a game changer. Hyde feels like a slower version of Boom (that also runs higher).

The Oline is not opening holes in A or B gap (between the Center and Guard or Guard and Tackle). They honestly cannot get the push against Toledo's Oline. Toledo's LBs are also doing a great job of filling. Couple those factors with blah RB play/vision and you have trouble.

Chris Wells could run the ball in spite of poor OL play, the Buckeyes do not have Chris Wells on the roster right now. I was hoping that Smith might make me think of Wells but he does not. Lots compared him to Eddie George, and that could be a valid comparison (George did not break out till his JR year), but right now the Bucks need a back in the game with some vision, and they should consider some zone schemes. I think they would have better luck with Berry.

so we squib the KO and then still give up a 23 yard return to the guy you are kicking away from?

So this Toledo offense consists of throwing bubble screens and flair to playmaking little mother effers every play and hoping they break a couple.

Annoying as hell to play against.

Not his best moment for sure. MLB play has been atrocious. Sweat's missed tackle at Will led to the 66yd TD.

Hyde should have had the first on the second down run, but he lacks the vision to cut back into gaping hole. He had the space. Get him out.

Playcalling has been meh today. We really need to get the ball to playmakers in space. OSU should be able to "out athlete" Toledo, but instead we insist on running it right into the Defense.
