Utah St -1.5 2H makes me 5-0-1 ATS for the day. 12/16 on my bracket but only one Sweet 16 team gone. Not a bad day.

No numbers I absolutely love today. Got Michigan +105, bad value for a 1.5 pt dog. Took Arizona -5.5 and UNLV -2.5. Wanted to get this game at pk when it first came out but my book wanted to see where the sharps drove the numbers. Needless to say, they drilled UNLV.

If Marshall's ovaries weren't aching early on Akron might have a lead at the half against Notre Dame. But Notre Dame better not dick around in the 2nd because a few commuter school kids are gaining in confidence.

Bruce Pearl should personally apologize to each kid in that locker room. What a disaster that PoS is.

And Spin's back in the MAC thread telling no one in particular that he'd be fine with the Zips losing to a much better team but that they're beating themselves.

AKA 'The Loser's Lament'.

I think it has more to do with ND's big guys not pissing down their leg like Marshall did but maybe it was just a coin flip game and the Zips lost the toss...

;-) ;)

They handled the #5 team in the country alright, for shooting 36%. You're not going to win many tourney games with that kind of brick laying.

But even with that, they were within 4 at the half, against a top 5 team. By most accounts an Elite 8 team. They played them a lot closer than I thought they would be.

Just needed to sink a couple of those shots at the start of the second half.

Say what you want. I really don't care.

Thoughts after yesterday:

Agree w/ Peek 'n Pup (Gawd, that sounds pedophile) about yesterday being one of the worst first round days in the past few years...Pretty unexciting...

OSU, Dook & Pitts bracket goin to plan, Kansas' is up for grabs, who woulda thought?

How does the school up north score 75 and doesn't register 1 FT??? Someone???

Pearl lost his job after that debacle...

As far as the local matches, they pretty much all sucked except the Mason/Nova game...OSU went pretty much as expected and it was great to see the pine rise (Nice job Thad :thumb up:)...It was the NCAA's worst nightmare when the early game went way over on time and they had to move Xav/Marq back 30 minutes, the Cuse game doesn't end until past 12:30 and after 11 hours of sitting in the arena, the powers-that-be should be shot...It was BS for the fans, local restaurants/bars and the Q (without suds) to endure...

Lots of goodies today, starting with UK/WV & the cinderellas Morehead/Richmond

Still cannot believe Butler was getting 8 points in this game.

Shelvin Fuckin Mack and Matt Howard ... my God. Howard's game is so easy to like.

Knock these fuckers off Butler.

This is surreal.

I cannot believe this final 7 seconds.

And watching the game, especially after bitching about the gutless Big East officials who basically quit reffing, I think both of those calls were legit but neither HAD to be called.

What a steal by Jordan Taylor, big time play ... leads to the three ball from Breusiwicz. Huge sequence.

Replay for those who missed it.

Announcer was right, kid wasn't shooting but just trying to throw the ball into the air to run out the clock (something that should happen much more often.

Double bonus.

Hell, one and one woulda put him on the line at that point. Act of shooting made no difference.

I'm aware peek, but the initial reaction is to think he was shooting, as a fan/bystander, as a ref I do not believe they can make a judgment and would have to call it in the act of shooting (if no over the limit was in effect), at least I know it used to be that way.

Just went through this recently when I played and ref explained a rule change at our level also claiming we play by college rules, hell if I know I just show up to play and drink afterward.
