Urban Meyer stepping down... again

I have my doubts he leaves, have no doubt he is back in a year, two tops. Interesting to see the fight over that job.
In the end, we're all "only for a limited time," you guys.

Don't trip over yourself trying to get to Gainesville so quickly, Dan Mullen.

Meyer is quickly becoming the Favre of college football.

Mark my words, something fishy is going on down in Gainsville, thats why he is jumping ship, just like Pete did at USC.

god that would be awesome. We all saw how quickly The U went to shit following Butch's leave for the Browns.

Hope this means florida becomes the third team in god's waiting room again, that would be awesome.

When I got in my car this was the first thing I heard, and I literally had to listen for 5 full minutes before I was convinced that someone wasn't just playing back last years news announcement.

That being said, I don't think this is because of some trouble, I think this is a legit retirement.

Just like last year I thought that Pup's idea - that his brief exit was deviously staged to fire up his team for the bowl game - was ludicrous.

This time he stays gone for at least a couple seasons. They guilt tripped him into finishing the recruiting class last season and didn't want to go out like the douche bag of all douche bags by re-retiring after signing day - lying to all those kids and parents faces.

I'm with some of the rest of you, I have a hard time taking Meyer at his word. Life after Tebow isn't so easy or grand, things are down and will be again next year in Gainsville. Wouldn't surprise me in the least to see him interested in coaching in a year or two, either there or at another top desirable spot (that is on the cusp of being great).

Meyer in Denver?, to resurrect the career of Tebow, man the only way that could get better would be to make the announcement on Easter Sunday.
