Three 2011 recruits sign letters of intent

Ohio State received signed letters of intent today from 6-foot-2 point guard Shannon Scott of Alpharetta, Ga., 6-6 wing guard Sam Thompson of Chicago and 6-9 forward-center Trey McDonald of Battle Creek, Mich.

Coach Thad Matta said at an afternoon news conference that the Buckeyes have room to add two more players to the class, an acknowledgment that, while he can't mention them by name, wing LaQuinton Ross and big man Amir Williams are still on the Buckeyes' radar. Both are scheduled to make official visits to campus this weekend
