Great collegiate player, but it's a whole new world on the next level where his opponents will be at least as strong, and in many cases, better athletically. 15 years ago he'd be a better fit for more teams than today, ILO.

That USC-Georgia Tech game was in the Midwest. Kansas was the top seed in the Midwest in 1992- and lost in the second round to UTEP. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd seeds in that region were knocked out in the first weekend. Blown bracket. Much like this year's Midwest with 1st seed Kansas and 3rd seed Georgetown already out. Winner of this region is the team that picks up the pieces.

Georgia Tech looked horrendous when I watched them against N.C. State last week, even though they won. They do have a bunch of guys who can get up. though.

I've been avoiding this forum as not to be a downer about OSU, but this game is a perfect example of why college ball is bleh and often bad, and why OSU shouldn't advance in this tournament.

An awful game period.

I just don't see how OSU can be revered as a good team, no size, all perimeter players that stand around waiting for the ball and no attitude or muscle what so ever..and a coach who seemingly advocates that approach to the game.

I'm pulling for them but I have almost zero emotion and confidence tied to this team.

Seen G. Tech about a half dozen times this year - and one thing is crystal clear - there about the dumbest GD team on God's green earth.

Buckeyes should been down 15 at the half. This game is like their whole year, ignoring their biggest advantage in the post and jacking up 25 footers. worst thing that ever happened to them was Shumpert, the dumbest division one player in basketball. miraculously heaving in that first 25 footer. Christ, Favors, as per usual, got as many touches in the first 7 minutes in the first half, than he did the 13 he sat out - zero. Horrible, horrible guard play.

Then, they come out the second half and try to get the ball inside for about four minutes before they decide they are behind enough to start jackin' it up again. This announcer is going to have to get a new phrase for "he's not shy" because he's running that one in the ground.

You've got Glen Rice Jr. and Shumpert lookin' to combine for the turnover record, they've got 78 personals through 3/4's of the game, and now Shumpert is even mixing in lane violations.

The phrase "million dollar body, 10 cent head" is usually reserved for individuals, not teams.

Holy Christ. I think Favors became the first ever player to submit his name for the NBA draft at halftime of a tournament game.

They have no size because of the draft. Two 7 footers were 1 and done. Saying they need "atttitude" is retarded. What do you want, Laurderdale to smash someone? Matta has done a really good job, he has Evan Turner and bunch of role players and they STILL finished in the top 6. They won the Big Ten regular season and confrence tourney for fuck's sake.

I'm loving that dud put up this year by Big East (they did send 8 teams). I'm not doubting that the regular season schedules are the most demanding, or their tournament is a beotch to win. League play is truly high-level, but clearly if you take Big East teams out of their vacuum- the individual teams aren't much better than the tournament field. It could be a detriment to have to play the tough "Big East style" for months, and then have to adjust to teams who break that norm.

And (gulp) props to Xavier for representing the A-10. Guard play, guard play, guard play. If Crawford isn't killing you, Halloway is finding a way.
