I give UT credit: first team either capable of or willing to pressure Turner end to end and to have the discipline to never let Diebler leave their sight even when Turner penetrated. ET got zero help. Chism was a monster, Prince way too athletic for a guy to chase for 35+ minutes and not get worn down.

UT was bigger, more athletic, more disciplined and just better down the stretch tonight. The longer the week went on the worse I felt about this game.

That block was clean. The real issue was Turner running into the corner for no particular reason.

That whole game was a officiating nightmare, both ways, a real embarrassment.... They let major conctact go while calling ticky tack fouls, like the one on Diebler who made a obvious clean steal and they call him for a reach.

The supporting cast was really bad tonight. Too many quick shots without getting into an offensive set. Turner's probably 75/25 on going to the NBA, but his girl is the starting PG for the Womens team. And you also have to look at the class coming in, with Turner they have to be a top 3 team.

Do I think he will stay? No. But it's not out of the realm of possibility. It has nothing to do with thinking like a fan, it has to do with HIM making the call, not you. I'm an Evan Turner fan for life, no matter if he's with OSU or the Timberwolves.

I sort of get what you are saying but then we got the Kentucky-WVU debacle after Butler. Great basketball? Hell I'll take that Buckeye Rose Bowl over having to watch that garbage any day of the week. I guess it's fun seeing a heavyweight get knocked out, but I sure as hell wasn't excited with the actual game-play. To think I used to be one of those guys who said "college basketball is just more exciting to me", years ago of course (like 20 years ago for sure).

Of course Cincy-FLA sucked in D-1 football, and I am sure countless others but for the most part the college bowls were more captivating that watching St. Mary's not show up.

You're absolutely right, Triple-S. Of course, the flip side is that college football's regular season trumps college basketball's regular season- by a long shot. There's got to be a happy medium, a way to set up a great postseason tournament without compromising the regular season. As wonderful as March Madness is, to an extent that's what it's done with college basketball's Nov-Feb slate.

The Vols are more than capable of beating MSU, I just mean I'd take my chances on filling out my bracket at the beginning of the tourney (of whatever year it is) with MSU coming out of their region instead of trying to get to cute with upsets or taking the No. 1 seed, unless Izzo leaves or they turn into Indiana for some reason down the road.

this is why you can't take womens basketball seriously. stuff like this happens all the time. i'm fairly certain, me, JB, bald peeker, herm, and CDT can take about 90% of the D1 womens bball teams. womens basketball is garbage. gaaah-bage. this is why nobody can even come close to Uconn. its Uconn, tennessee, and that other team with the freakish mammoth 7 footer.

on PTI and ATH they were all sayin they fell so sorry for this girl. i don't get that at all, i feel sorry for all her teammates. it would be one thing if she missed one wide open layup for the game, that can happen to anyone. you would say, "oh i hope she would've gotten another shot, to redeem herself." but she did get that shot and pooped the bed again. in the words of sir charles, thats just turrible
