Glad to see that the terrorism and recession things are over and the government is using its resources on less important things. I recommend not bothering with the BCS and just cutting taxes and closing all government agencies that are so bored that this is a priority.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

The more they focus on something as trivial as the BCS, the less time they have to waste our money on much more useless crap like "The light rail" project.

Is this what you said when W targeted steroid use in baseball in his SOTU speech?

That is pretty much exactly what I said.

The Goverment should totaly be involved. College Football is the best sport by far. Who needs jobs when you can watch CFB?

Yeah, there's a time when we might want to put sports in some sort of perspective.

The goverment has bigger fish to fry. Much bigger.

And on a similiar note, the Saints making the Super Bowl has brought on the avalanche of "The Saints bringing New Orleans back from Katrina" stories. Which of course, if fine media fodder I suppose, but the reality is, some cat who lost his wife, kids and shelter to Katrina could give a rat's ass if Reggie Bush return a punt 27 yards.

No one writes about how the Saints destroyed the hopes of New Orleans in 2007 when they lost in the NFC Champioship.
