I do wonder what the recruiting fallout will be with NSD approaching. Any TN recruits worth a shit back in play? Furls? Jesse? Coz?

Tennessee was headed for NCAA sanctions with Kiffin there. Now he is going to a place that is neck deep in it? Awesome.
Tennessee has committed at least six secondary NCAA recruiting violations -- unintended violations of rules not deemed to have given the school an unfair competitive or recruiting advantage -- since Lane Kiffin took over as coach.

TN issues nowhere near USC's. Kiffin can walk away from his own mess and blame someone else for the one he inherited. Win-win for a dick like him.
But I still say he can coach and I know his old man can.

Oh sure, they aren't there. But they were headed there.

Dozens of students and fans marched into the Neyland-Thompson Sports Complex on Tuesday night chanting obscenities at Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin, who was informing his players about his departure to Southern California.
The crowd then moved to an office area where an impromptu press conference was being held for Kiffin.
Police were called to quell the crowd, which calmed down once officers arrived.
The crowd eventually became rowdy and were asked to disperse without incident.

Maybe he can get a friendly contract at USC knowing that he's walking into potential NCAA problems (instead of taking the heat for the ones he caused at Tennessee).
I remember Thad Matta got an extra year worked onto the end of his contract for every year that OSU had to miss the tournament (turned out to be just one year, but that hadn't been decided yet when Matta took over).

Same move they enticed Johnny Majors to make in 1977 from Pitt ?

This is how most of these guys are. The schools and the system are the culprets.
The real mystery is WTF is so desirable about Lane F'n Kiffen? By all accounts he was the worst OC in the carroll SC era and has never accomplished anything good and is a complete tool.

Why the fuck are you up so early?
Why is Kiffin so desirable? Fuck if I know, might be that awesome record with Oakland. Or that stellar 1 season with the Vols.
It's funny, USC has an axe hanging above their heads for possible serious NCAA violations, so they hire a guy who had 6 secondary NCAA violations in one year with UT. Yeah..... That's the ticket.
It really sucks for all the kids who bought into Kiffin's bullshit and went to UT.

The contract is signed in order for the University can get their massive buy out.
You know, so they can use the money for "The Kids"

Not being argumentative, but how do you know this? Based on, what?
Having playcalling responsibilities taken from him at SC?
Inheriting a machine from Chow and flailed and Sarkisian cranked it up again.
Epic failed in Oaktown.
Recruited thugs he let run amok in Knoxville, had a mediocre season, and broke enough rules to leave an investigation and possible sanctions behind after only one year despite all his bluster and bullshit.
Guy's a disaster AFAIC.

Two top 10 recruiting classes, bowl appearance and improvement over Fullmer's previous year, the old man's defense, the development of talent at USC, etc.
I'm not holding anything against anyone in regard to Al Davis.
He's bad enough apparently that he's much desired.
I don't like how him and I don't agree with how he went about things in leaving UT, but I believe he can coach and I think he'll be fine at USC when the dust settles.
That's all. Just an opinion.

Qualifications:
Be a doosh.
Have a successful daddy.
Have been a ramora off Pete carrool et al.
Have a mediocre season at a perennially successful SEC program that borders on legacy status.
Recruit thugs for a class rated as it should be. Do a top 10 at Washington State? Now I'm impressed. Do it at SC and UT? Called doing your job pretty well. No big.
Did I mention being a recruiting coordinator for SC, which is probably like being Bernie Madoff's securities' advisor meets being a pro football agent?
Doosh.
Comeuppance in 3...2....1.
Just an opinion.

"I knew we weren't going to Tennessee, because (Kiffin) was the only reason we were going to Tennessee," said Brandon's father, Gary Willis. This guy is a lying snake in the grass coward. I hope the NCAA hammers USC like a railroad spike. I hope he fails so bad he can never coach again, not even in Pop Warner leagues.
I also think he looked at the SEC and thought "boy, this is going to be an uphill battle, it's alot easier to go to the Pac 10".
