All I can find is 'injury to his throwing shoulder'.

But if that's the case, why isn't he slinged up or immobilized in some way?

That's what they'd do with collarbone or separation. A 'contusion' ain't gonna be well received in Austin.

Bleedat.

If he cain't play, he best be dead.

Fuck "NFL Future" and "Daddy".

I want a QB who'd die to play. Like BK.

If it comes out he has a full sep or clavicle on a throwing shoulder, then I am a POS.

Anything less and he is.

This game is so over.

Sideline reporter said X-rays were negative, McCoy wants to play but doctors, coach and dad won't allow it. Can't figure out how anyone other that doctors (and player) get a vote there.

Was that supposed to be a squib kick? Or did he just kick it right at the Bama player looking for a riccochet?

And Shipley has to catch that. The WR's have not helped this kid out at all.

Moot after three and out but I don't think that was an onside attempt. I think dude mis-hit a missile that hit something. Like a Swerb fairway iron that hits the cart, a ball cleaner and a tree before nestling up 12 feet from the cup.

For shits and giggles now that the game is approaching a conclusion, I am assuming the frosh doesnt make on of the most remarkable comebacks in CFB history. If McCoy doesnt get hurt do they win? I think it would have been a helluva game.

Different numbers but same end result IMHO.

Texas D would have made it real interesting though. Hats off to those kids.

Hard to say. If Bama uses the same gameplan they're using now, then yes I think Texas wins.

But I think Bama plays it less conservatively if McCoy is playing.

But it may be moot. Texas w/in a FG!

I don't spaz every time, but that shit builds up...needle needle......poke poke....jab jab....

Points valid either way, to sit there and needle a week after the Rose is bogus...............................

It's those little needling snide remarks that piss me off....he went ultra CONSERVATIVE FUDU.....learn the fucking difference.

What you are doing is assigning the description "JT" to being ultra conservative or to a player fuckup, thereby robbing the dude of any credit when he is NOT conservative....get it?

It's shallow and incorrect.

Truth.
You're proving my point, I've said this before as well, you take these comments way to personal...are you JT, I mean seriously as this point are you?

You've been doing this for over a year plus in this forum.

Truth is JT did go ultra conservative in that game with way too many predictable runs on short short yardage situations. Every time a play doesn't work it is NOT due to lack of player execution. JT struggled to put his players in the best to succeed late in that game.

...and are you seriously comparing the JT in the Rose Bowl to our game v Iowa? We were winning the Iowa game 24-10 with 10 minutes left in the game. TP threw 17 total passes in that game (completed 14 of them).

OSU Drive in the 4Q with 10 minutes left.

Ohio State at 10:58 IOWA OSU
1st and 10 at OSU 40 IOWA penalty 15 yard Personal Foul accepted. 17 24
1st and 10 at IOWA 45 Daniel Herron rush for no gain to the Iowa 45.
2nd and 10 at IOWA 45 Daniel Herron rush for 8 yards to the Iowa 37.
3rd and 2 at IOWA 37 Daniel Herron rush for 8 yards to the Iowa 29 for a 1ST down.
1st and 10 at IOWA 29 Daniel Herron rush for a loss of 1 yard to the Iowa 30.
2nd and 11 at IOWA 30 Daniel Herron rush for 3 yards to the Iowa 27.
3rd and 8 at IOWA 27 Daniel Herron rush for a loss of 3 yards to the Iowa 30.
4th and 11 at IOWA 30 Devin Barclay 47 yard field goal MISSED.

Meanwhile TP was throwing from the get go in the Rose Bowl ending up 23 of 30freakin7. Apples to freakin carbon monoxide. If your looking for praise of JT in the Rose Bowl I suggest you revisit the Rose Bowl thread. Otherwise take something, anything for your sensitivity issues.

For fucks sake.

The play call at the end of the half by Mack Brown might be in the top five all-time worst calls. Your team is down 17-6, take a knee and go to the locker room. :spanky:

And, can someone explain to me how a company who has taken govt. bailout money can be the sponsor for this athletic event? :dunno:

UT's backup QB was 'Bama's best weapon. With McCoy in there I think we see a much different score and possibly the upset.

Yeah, pressure does some goofy things.

With McCoy in there at a minimum, it forces some issues.

Bama able to play an extrememly comfortable game, and even though it seemed to give UT a chance at the end, that was the absolute worse case scenario - and it was still a longshot.

In the end, the firsrt year starin' Alabama QB didn't have to make a significant play all night, and we all knew the result if that were the case.

And McCoy's injury better be serious.

Had that game been 14-0 5 minutes in, and Bama has to put the game in the hands of its QB, I think it is quite different.

Great job by the Bama punter. Gave up some yards on distance for some extra hang time, taking Shipley out of the game.

Colt had no feeling in his arm. Kind of tough to throw a football when you don't know if you are holding it or not.

Hope he slides to round 3.

Said his arm was dead. Couldn't feel it. Sounds like a nerve pinch, which can be serious. I expect Mack to say all the right things to protect McCoy, as he should. Not sure if it will kill his draft stock, I'd be surprised if he falls to the 2nd.

Yeah, pressure does some goofy things.

With McCoy in there at a minimum, it forces some issues.

Agree. Still wondering how you can get all the way to the NC game without being able to run the ball effectively. (rhetorical). Putting Gilbert in that situation was a recipe for disaster without some semblence of a running game to take the pressure off. Bama is tough against the run no doubt, but to completely ignore the run game shows the Horns never had any confidence in the first place. I mean, how does this happen if you can recruit and sign essentially any kid you want in the state?

P.S. Where's JoJo?

Good thing UT just gave him a raise to $5 million per.

How is he not getting killed nationally for this today?

Fireable offense IMO that cost them the game.

Alright, which board user was at the game last evening? :lmfao:

JB had a 45 minute delay betwwen posts last night. And those are definitely his shoes.

Not saying that makes it JB.

Just sayin'......

I can't see what that is JB, what is that a link to?

Are you seriously not understanding my simple point?

See if you can wrap your head around this as I explain it as slowly as I possibly can.

Yes, Tressel did go into a conservative shell in the Iowa game. I have no problem with criticizing that particular strategy.

I repeat: No problems with knocking that strategy.

What I have a problem with, is you classifying that as "JT rearing his ugly head" in a game, as if to say that the only time the buckeyes come out and excecute a great game plan, one that scores points or is not conservative, it must be because JT's is hiding in some corner getting out of the way of some mystery man who is responsible for the plan of attack.

If he takes the blame, he should get the credit, not snide little remarks from snickering "fans".....I don't dig cheap shots, is that simple enough?

Or was it "JT rearing his ugly head" last night in the Alabama coordinator booth? Fuck me, he almost blew that game for Bama last night...... :bunny:

Is Nick Saban the Bill Belichick of CFB?

Just seeing more of how that guy acts following the victory last night, he seems like he could have cared less about it.

He won. He can do what ever he wants. FTR, I'd be pissed about the Gatorade bath as well.
