Something is fishy in LA

Unread postby furls » Sun Dec 20, 2009 12:38 pm

This sounds like a bunch of BS to me.... I have two teenagers, I am an expert at detecting Bullshit and this is, well, bullshit.

I am not saying U$C is the only school with these issues, but this is definitely a distrubing trend for them.

Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

It seems like time after time Trojan Man escapes with nothing ever happening. Reggiegate etc. This will prolly be another sweep under the carpet.

I agree with Furls general point, but did I miss the day it was declared that college football players driving cars was an NCAA violation?

It's a violation when the car belongs to some big shot businessman. Oh wait....... Nevermind. It belongs to the boss of of McKnight's baby's momma. That's much more realistic. And he claimed he never drove it. So he's either a liar or really really stupid.

Driving a brand new Land Rover will surely raise some eyebrows. Then when you start pulling the string you get a whole lotta questionable crap. This dude helped get McKnight's "baby mama" a car out of the kindness of his heart? Really? Oh yeah, and he just happens to run the 4joemcknight.com web domain?

I will say, U$C has been very fortunate to not have anything happen to date from Mayo and Bush, this one may force the NCAA to do something (although I am sure that it will be minor).

You can be both. I've seen it. Look at Rich Rodriguez recruits.

I'm being completely serious here, are these guys really not allowed to drive another human beings car when they are on a full ride for a div 1 program?

I'm talking about driving a car not having your name on the title of one that was bought for you.

I don't have any data to prove it but I'm willing to bet "new car" frequency in practice field parking lots is inversely proportional to graduation rates. :hide:

In all honesty, it depends on whose car it is.

Shit, Dez Bryant got suspended for having lunch, if that tells you anything.

Not trying to be argumentative (today, lol), but he was suspended for lying about having lunch, the lunch was determined to be within NCAA rules, IIRC.
