Impressive showing for the Big Ten.

Ohio State handles Oregon. Penn State beats LSU. Iowa takes care of the ACC champs. Wisconsin takes Miami Fla out behind the woodshed. Northwestern takes Auburn to OT as a 9 point dog before losing on a failed fake FG.

Michigan State went toe to toe with TTech as a 8 point dog. Minnesota, well, Minnesota doesn't count, do they? (they shoulda won too)

Couple bounces of the ball away from a 7-0 bowl season. 5-2 ATS. Only two loser ATS were Minnesotas choke job and TTech going for it on 4th down up 4 with a min left and scoring.

The Big Ten finishes with four 10-win teams, all of which won their bowl game.

No other BCS conference finishes with more than two 10-win teams (SEC, Big 12, Big East and ACC all with two). The non-BCS Mountain West finished with three.

No other BCS conference had all of it's top four teams win their bowl games.

Great bowl season for the Big Ten, that close to going unbeaten. Should help the perception next year, which will help with the votes.

Great showing for the Union Football Army. I love talking trash to all the slack-jaws down here that tell me all about southern speed. With all their speed and gimmick offenses, there is no substitute for punching the other team in the mouth. Iowa, OSU and Wisc all did that. I keep telling the coaches here, if they want to send their players to a real school, let me know, I'll give them directions.

Rode the elevator with a big LSU fan. After the standard HNY and all that, I ask him about the Cap One Bowl. First words out of his mouth "Too bad they had to play on that field" LOL. "You mean you didn't get to play a home game on turf in the Super Dome and you're pissed?" "Kinda" he says. LSU fan cracks me up.

I'm not all that certain it would have helped LSU more than PSU.....well, better field I mean. Obviously the Dome would have been a home game.

Work with a guy from LSU and he wussed out of our moustache bet; claimed the pregnant wife would not allow it.

I guess it's ok since she's pregnant. I guess.

I think on a dry field PSU beats 'em up. Their D line woulda dominated....2 cent

Too bad Clark is so miserable in the Red Zone or it woulda been over early with no doubts

In any event, seemed like LSU WAS playing @ H

Man.... I thought Iowa was going to get raped by that triple O Tech runs. Ferentz had that team ready and that D was attacking all night.

Maybe this is where it turns around for the Big 10.

As did I. I laid my 2nd biggest wager of bowl season (other than SMU) on GT.

I will never bet on triple-option teams again. I parlayed Navy with the over and got fucked on that too.

triple option is a bitch during the regular season when you only have a week to get ready. Good teams will do much better against the triple O given six weeks to get ready. I would almost always bet against a team with the trip O if they are up against a team with the talent to stop them and the time to prepare. Iowa played the trip O perfectly, they took away the dive and made GaTech try to push it out and beat them with the option on the edge. Iowa played disciplined stout defense and stopped the GaTech ground game cold.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Mmmmmm..... raw reindeer heart.

Organ meat will kill you if you go too heavy on it though. All you guys considering it, you've been warned. It's better thinly sliced and lightly fried with onions but the Bear doesn't have that luxury apparently.

Though he's probably just out of camera shot of a Five Star hotel.

Those 'makeshift' skis probably say 'Rossignol' on the bottom side.

Staying on topic, anyone know if Dan LeFevour skis or eats raw deer heart?

Don't hate. You can't fake eating raw deer heart. Or swimming naked across a frozen river. Man vs Wild shows more shriveled dick than the GMAC Bowl. 7-6 Troy.

Bullshit.

You can fake all that.

The coolest thing he ever did was when he hit that rabbit in the neck with his "Indian throwing stick". To me it looked like a stick he decided to throw, not sure what Indians have to do with it.

Hey look EW, he's going to fight a "wild" boar. My money is on the boar, Bear was only in the friggin SAS. The new epiosde says "Bear creates critical fresh water", 10-1 says that means he's going to be drinking his own piss.

I'm counting on it. I'm not sure how much longer I can stick with this game. FTR he ate raw deer heart, swam naked across a half frozen river, killed a wild boar, killed a rabbit by throwing a stick at its neck, and will potentially (probably) drink his own urine due to lack of fresh water. Awesome.

And he didn't disappoint. Stuck on a raft out to sea, Bear gave himself an enema because "the colon can absorb water". Why put the water up your ass you may ask. Well, that's because the water was collected from a pool that was full of bird poo, and obviously no fit to drink.

WTF does that have to do with Bear Grylls?

Focus man.

How'd he give himself an enema at sea?

Plastic tubing and a 2 liter bottle they found washed up on shore. No lube. Bear is man.

Bear Grylls is like a shit sandwich on Easter morning.

He's such a douche, he had $250 Oakley sun glasses on while "surviving" on a island.

I'm always inviting them back to Gettysburg for a picnic on Little Round Top

In the words of a famous grey claden general...."it's a long way to the top (of Missionary Ridge) if you want ta rock-n-roll."

Fitting they made his estate part of Arlington Nat'l Cemetary.
Don't belive there's anything there I'd be interested in except a monument to a dead Johnny Reb Traitor General

....'bout time this game got interesting

Dumb ass Rebs....it was an insult to Lee to bury troops in Lee's front yard

That house stands as a monument to those that were buried on its grounds. It remains there as a reminder to the lives lost to murderous Southern traitors

Sherman coined Burn Baby Burn long before the Watts riots.... esp love too how Grant torched South Carolina at the end

Long live the Union while I wipe my ass with the Stars & Bars

You know what else (in addition to a dry field) would have helped? Catching the fucking ball when it hits you right in the damned hands, both on offense and defense. But you won't have to worry about that guy for long. Les is going to shed the fan base back down to the die hards in two years. This guy is going to be pulling for the next flavor of the month by that time.

I just re-read it. When I said...

This guy is going to be pulling for the next flavor of the month by that time.

I meant the guy in Matt's office, not myself. I held strong through the Curley Hallman years, anthrax couldn't get me out of that stadium. But yeah, JB, I'm not feeling Les these days.
