Closest vote ever and the Tide's first-ever winner. Wow.

I missed his part of the lead-up. Is his dad watching?

The voters got it right. Good job.

Now he gets a National Championship trophy to go along with it.

Good for him. What a season for the Tide. Great, and emotional acceptance speech.

Just edged out Gerhart and McCoy.

I'm surprised Tebow came in a distant fifth.

Err, that's not how it's worked recently. Hopefully the banquet circuit fattens him up so the game'll be competitive.

He is a stud. Should be great in the league. Mad props to Gerhart, not sure how he will pan out in the NFL, but he had a hell of a season.

I'm not surprised. It was basically a lifetime achievement tip of the cap to even have him in NY.

Great college player, he just wasn't one of the top 5 this season IMO. This year ranks 3rd of 4 in his career. He really didn't even play too tough a schedule this year either.

But is this the time or place to tell you he isn't coming out?

There's always next year.
