Big Ten Hoops

First I am not posting as an expert in college hoops, more looking for feedback, because I typically don't follow it too much at this time of year. I figure with the Bucks looking above avg. I'd better start watching, so feel free to let me know if this is typical. Rough weekend against out-of-conference schools. Isn't this what kills RPI later on? I just have no idea how RPI is calculated, but certainly if the B-10 has a low RPI and OSU finishes say 3rd it will mean a much lower seed. As an aside I've now seen Long Beach St. and Cal St. Fullerton defeat UCLA. Also UCLA is clearly down they went 0-3 in this little tournament.

Back to Big 10, Friday night they go 0-4 as

unranked Fl. defeats Mich. St
unranked Utah over Illinois
unranked Marquette over Michigan (who beat Creighton in OT to get to this game)
unranked Portland over Minnesota.

Sat.
Illinois then lost to Bradley Saturday so they'll drop out.
Northwestern beats Iowa St, a big 12 school
Not much else significant from what I can tell, but W's are W's.

Sun.
Two big games Mich-Ala and Texas A&M-Minnesota

I think a couple of wins Sunday will help out. Bucks have some big games, Fl. St. in the showdown, Butler on the 12th, and how fun will the Cl. State game be? I also see West Virginia in there, mid-season.

Boilermakers won tonight against Wake Forrest and Tennessee a week a go.

up to Number 4 in the country in one poll. I want to go down to Value City in February to see them so badly.

Both Sunday games Big 10 lost close ones, and then NC beats MSU, so it looks like Purdue is carrying the banner as getting a big non-conference win. Michigan lost to Alabama and A&M Minnesota. Just once I'd like to see them win the challenge.

Yep. As the OSU/FSU game was never that close in the 2nd half, it pretty much came down to the Sconsin/Dook game. Sconsin was able to pull it out.
