20+ years of doing what he does every single Saturday and today's the day you think he'll change things up?

Turn it off Donny.

There's nothing that can happen in this game that's going to make you happy.

If they run off tackle 48 times for 400+ yards and a 42-3 win you'll blame UM for being shitty.

If it's a 13-10 Buckeye win it won't be big enough. If they lose you'll be up in arms.

Why bother watching it?

Knew that INT was coming. Three before it could have been picked. Forcier's gonna toss his one or two more as well.

And he does have freakishly small hands. And smells like cabbage. Like a carney.

Up until about the six minute mark in the 1H, Michigan was winning the war in the trenches, they simply wanted it more. The play of the OSU DB's was deplorable. Guys left wide open. The balls they did play well, that they got hands on, they couldn't make plays on. And Tressel was refusing to take advantage of Michigan's agression and over-pursuit with some counter and misdirection plays.

That all changed at the end of the half.

Great drive to make it 14-3, defensive line starting applying more pressure, leading to a great play by Chekwa/Coleman on the INT. Pryor makes his first stupid play of the day on the grounding call, and the defense stiffens again to maintain the 11 point lead and keep momentum on our side going into the break.

FtR, I'm fine with Pryor handing the ball to backs on inside runs all afternoon.

No need to see balls rocketing off receivers' hands and intercepted.

Not til tomorrow anyway.

Great tackle by Homan.

Bore me to death with another drive down their fucking throats Buckeyes.

Step on their throats and deprive this UM team of five extremely valuable weeks of practice time while the NCAA makes sure of it.

I would run the option on every play. Michigan hasn't kept that play under 10 yards all day.

It's a good thing that we had a true freshman QB last week and DA light this week to make our D look good.

Hate to say it but if Oregon wins out and our D shows up like it has these past two weeks that game will come down to our O and our ability to keep that offense off the field.

So disappointed by this D lately.

Apparently he didn't see the 6'6" Gibson standing 8 yards in front of him. Unobstructed. Wearing all white.

Truth be told, the whole week was lackluster. OSU needs a strong Michigan to play off of. There was little excitement for this game because that's a terrible UM football team. I was actually concerned about whether the Buckeyes would show up to any degree.

I'm satisfied with 6 in a row and burying that bitch til spring practice just out of pure hatred.

This is not a really strong OSU team. Offensive talent either has not developed or doesn't exist/scare anyone. I don't have a real good feeling about the Rose Bowl whether Oregon gets there or not.

But it doesn't matter today. Michigan sucks hind teat for the 6th year in a row and that makes it a good day.

On a side note, I watched the first half of the game at my pub across the street.

There were three flamboyantly but outstanding gay guys there, which is odd for my hood.

Ended up talking w/ them about Baltimore after they ordered Tuaca shots and I realized where they were from.

Ends up the ring leader is Shapiro's cousin.

Outstanding moment when he told me that. Guy was awesome. Swears up and down Shapiro is a load of fun when they hang out and drinks as much as they next guy.

Yup.

I'll be out front criticizing the team and coaching staff when I think it's warranted- like after the USC game- but I'm certainly not going to weep over a sixth straight win over Michigan, ten wins and an outright Big Ten title.

6 straight.
Sending a reeling program to bed early.
Depriving said program of 5 weeks of practice they desperately need.
Creating (or adding to the) havoc and upheaval in Ann Arbor.

Today was a good day.
I'll worry about Jan 1st in a few days. And I will worry about it.

I think upheaval is the word.

Jesse and I talked about this last night. If UM people could look at this team and see great young talent on the rise in the Fr. and So. classes, it might be worth keeping RR another year to see if he can turn it around. I just don't see it. The best player on a bad defense is graduating. There aren't a lot of offensive weapons here, although folks I trust say Devin Gardner, the incoming QB is the real deal. OSU recruited him hard and offered.....Forcier may be done now..after today.

Despite what the AD says, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he and RR went out the door sooner instead of later. Ironically, the NCAA investigation(s?) might save their jobs..for the moment. Pass the popcorn.

My theory: I don't think Forcier ever recovered today, from the shot he took from Thad Gibson a second after he fumbled in the end zone in the first quarter. I don't think he wanted to tangle much with the guys in the funny uniforms after that.

JB...after the last 3 games...is Homan still JAG? How many inside linebackers in the Big Ten would you prefer over him?... just makin conversation...

Not sure I'm reading you on this one, Lee. Iowa - yes, some cracks showed. From time to time they tend to give up chunks of yardage - but holding PSU and UM to one score each on the road counts for something, no?

I enjoyed the game (and the win), Michigan was clearly playing this game like their bowl game. I didn't really feel like the Buckeyes wanted it until that third quarter.

Not to rain on the parade, but is this the worst 10 win OSU team ever? Outside of that defensive line, is there any players on this team that are NFL calibur? Outside of kick coverage our special teams are pretty shitty. Which is very unusual for a Tressel team.

The funny thing is that if Terrelle Pryor were a bit more polished, this team could have easily been 12-0. Strange year.

I think Kurt Coleman plays NFL football.

Posey most likely will also given his lack of production is more a product of Pryor.

Cam Heyward possibly.

Not deeply talented but that defense is effective nonetheless.

I can see a couple more on the defensive side of the ball with a shot. Gibson, Worthington.

How about Hines anyone?

Brian Rolle or Homan?

Plenty.

Kurt Coleman, Ross Homan, Mike Brewster, Mike Adams, DeVier Posey, Duron Carter, and Brandon Saine (if he ever learns to pass block) all have very good NFL potential. Guys like Chimdi Chekwa, Jermale Hines, Brian Rolle, and Dane Sanzenbacher will play in the NFL, too, but probably won't be starters or impact players.

The way Chekwa has played the last two weeks makes me think he should be playing curling or field hockey. Dude's been absolutely embarrassing.

If he makes the NFL, that's pathetic.

He had said 'aside from the DL' guys which is why Gibson wasn't mentioned in my post dmiles.

I guess I should add I'm talking about contributing, two or three down guys in the NFL. Rolle is faster than hell at NCAA LB but he's a pygmy LB in the NFL and he's not fast enough, fluid enough or quick enough IMO for an NFL DB.

He could make a living as a special teams guy I guess or maybe I'm just underestimating him. Guys like Duron Carter and other younger players ain't on the radar yet. Haven't done much if anything in college much less worthy of NFL speculation. Might be a hell of an NFL player one day. But I'd like to see him be a decent college receiver first.

Chekwa?

Please. Unless they implement a 10 yard cushion rule to promote scoring. Then you take Chekwa because of all his experience with it.

JFC mix in an unexpected play in the first half once in a decade, is that too much too ask.

Yup.

I'll be out front criticizing the team and coaching staff when I think it's warranted- like after the USC game- but I'm certainly not going to weep over a sixth straight win over Michigan, ten wins and an outright Big Ten title.

Not picking you out Herm, but michigan sucks, sucks bad, especially on defense.

Beating them, while important and necessary, is stupid right now. Their D looked good way to often today, considering we are gong to the Rose Bowl in 32 weeks.
e
As we like to say in here history doesn't matter from year to year. We beat em 5 years in a row has nothing to do with today, yet getting them 6 times is a big deal? Sure for the history, that is all.

I'll appreciate the win from the game control aspect, but our D was lit up today, in ways it should not have been from a completely inferior team to what we will face in the Rose Bowl.

I actually give michigan a lot of credit today for out playing us at many times.

After 10 years, if you can't answer that question, I'm not sure what to tell you man.

But here, because you seem to need it: You're right FUDU. Okay? ;-) ;)

A tackle eligible off a TE reverse pass woulda been nice to see yesterday.
