I'll appreciate the win from the game control aspect, but our D was lit up today, in ways it should not have been from a completely inferior team to what we will face in the Rose Bowl.

Have to agree on both points. Hardly an impressive win for the Buckeyes. Quite the opposite. Luckily we ran into a team with a worse QB than ours and he handed us the game.

:lmfao: tOSU had 70 yards passing, granted no major turnovers which is a must in a Tressel offense. Forcier turned it over a ton today but I think he's a better QB than Pryor and it's not even close. Michigan almost outgained tOSU and their vaunted D. Wolverines inability to stop the run was the difference as tOSU ran it down their gullets.

He's a better passer Rob, but there's more to QBing than throwing form and motion. I would not trade Forcier for Pryor straight up.

I think Pryor has been shoe horned into that Troy Smith as a sophomore box. Conservative, legs more valuable than arm, etc. He's had ball safety and decision making jammed down his neck for two years now and you can see it and it's effects. That's important because I wasn't sure he was listening. It all comes down to whether Pryor develops the passing ability or not. Troy Smith was a mess mechanically at one point too (though, to be fair, not as messy as Pryor IMO).

6'6", 240lbs. If he makes the adjustments and changes and listens and learns like Smith did I still hold out hope he can reach his potential in the next two years.

Fisrts 4 games of next season probably define Pryor's career at OSU in one way or the other.

Peeks, if you put Forcier on tOSU, what's their record?

I don't know. Forcier doesn't play for the Buckeyes. And Forcier clearly hasn't learned to value the football yet. Say what you want about Pryor, but I think the value of the possession and taking care of the football has taken hold.

That's what I mean when I say it's a lot like the process Smith went through. Learn what's important, execute that which is important, then go on to advance concepts. Kind of like a college education itself.

The Buckeyes can win games and conference titles by taking care of the football. That's clear. It's fact. They need Pryor to develop beyond that now to move further along.

Forcier's a guy. He won't likely keep that job there next season.

He looked really good against Delaware State and what used to be Notre Dame though.

Peeks, are you sure you aren't Coach Tressel? :thumb up:
I get what you are saying. And, after looking at tOSU's schedule for next year, there's no reason to think 12-0 shouldn't be a certainty (8 home, including the first four of Marshall, Miami Fla, Ohio U, and Eastern Michigan).

Yikes. That's extremely Penn State-ish :nanner:

Miami is better thank God.

Prolly not "win in the 'Shoe" better but they are coming on.

It's not really about the schedule though.

It's much more simple than that. It's basically 'Does Pryor look like he knows how to throw a football'?

Because right now he doesn't. What I like is he's still not throwing it all over the field. Much rather have him overthrow Posey by 4 yards every damn time than lofting balls to LBs and Dbs like Forcier did.

Should Pryor really start to "get it", having all these games next season at home should bode well for him and his teammates. Tell me one game on there they won't be favored by double digits or more.

2010 OSU Football Schedule

Day Date Opponent Location Time
Sat 09/04/2010 Marshall Columbus, Ohio TBA
Sat 09/11/2010 Miami (FL) Columbus, Ohio TBA
Sat 09/18/2010 Ohio Columbus, Ohio TBA
Sat 09/25/2010 Eastern Michigan Columbus, Ohio TBA
Sat 10/02/2010 Illinois Champaign, Illinois TBA
Sat 10/09/2010 Indiana Columbus, Ohio TBA
Sat 10/16/2010 Wisconsin Madison, Wisconsin TBA
Sat 10/23/2010 Purdue Columbus, Ohio TBA

The trip to Camp Russell definitely. Maybe Iowa if the Hawkeyes can keep rolling from this season.

Turn it off Donny.

There's nothing that can happen in this game that's going to make you happy.

If they run off tackle 48 times for 400+ yards and a 42-3 win you'll blame UM for being shitty.

If it's a 13-10 Buckeye win it won't be big enough. If they lose you'll be up in arms.

Why bother watching it?

Does it make any sense to anyone that in this economy OSU is giving these big paydays to out of state schools like NM State and the two above? How about keeping the money in-state and play Bowling Green, Kent State, Akron etc? Any MAC team will give the Bucks a better game than NM St did. The AD really ought to wake up.

I think Purdue will give the Bucks a game, they're still pretty young and if not for a couple of choke jobs in the last 3 minutes in the 4th quarter in a few games, they'd be going bowling right now.

Camp Randall and being favored by double digits doesn't mean they won't be given a game, just trying to accentuate the point the table is set and there are few, if any, real lumps in the gravy. Can't wait for SEC teams to :gah: about favorable schedule next time they roll a Chattanooga or FIU or AESTDGPTL state.

Yep. They wonder if they hired to right guy. They have a pretty bleak attitude, not sure when they're going pull out of the bottomless suck.

There were ALOT of OSU fans there. It was incredible.

I was really drunk by halftime. God bless the man who invented flasks.

Just judging from the TV shots, I've never seen so many OSU fans in Ann Arbor. Read an interview with Coleman where he said Buckeye fans had the O-H-I-O going at one point.
