I am excited for another year of CSU Basketball. This team is young and raw but talented. Once they fully learn the system, watch out.

Anybody going down to games this season? Hey Swerb, perhaps there could be some kind of TCF outing at a game to support the Vikings? Just thinking aloud as Waters and Reed run a classy program.

Definitely going down for some games. Schedule sets up kinda crappy for me, as most of their best home games (West V, Butler, Wright State) are on weekends. Definitely going to be at the West V game though, and hopefully Butler. Weeknight games ... I'm looking at maybe the Florida A&M game coming up on Nov 19 (same night as OSU/UNC though), and definitely one of the Milwaukee or Wisc GB games later in the season.

Horizon turning into a pretty good conference. Butler team is gonna be scary good this year, and ridiculous next year. CSU has evolved into a perennial 20 win team, and like Butler ... will be even better next year. Wright State is going to be good again as well. Detroits program appears to be on the come. Valpo now a member of the league, and on reload mode.

This Butler team is good. Really good. I'm talking Final Four good. Beating the living shit out of a respectable Northwestern team on their home floor on BTN.

They were good last year. Whole team back. Got a new kid by the name of Avery Jukes (great name), a transfer ... solid. With Nored, Veasley, Hahn. And Howard and Heyward.

Scary part is ... entire team except Veasley is back next year as well. Like the coach they got too ... dude looks like hes about 22. Home grown. Worked under Matta, and then Lickliter before he left for Iowa a couple years back.

Swerb- when does Butler come to CSU?
"It's all about winning for me, and I think the Cavs are committed to doing that," he said. "But at the same time I've given myself options to this point, and like I said before, me and my team, we have a game plan that we're going to execute, and we'll see what we get."

"We had a great time together."
