I think this has very little to do with liking the college game.
Best case scenario for Brohm was that he was the third QB taken. That would probably put him in the mid to late first round and he will get multi year mid to late first round money. If he comes out next year, he is broke for one more year, but gets a MUCH bigger contract.
The difference between 1-5 and 15-25 is ENORMOUS. Big enough where this decision makes a lot sense and this is probably the one situation that I think it makes sense for a first round pick to return.
THere was no way he would vault Quinn and Russell.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.
