He saw Bush injured and lost his head coach.
He missed a few games also.

I guess that kills the theory that this guy was a bona fide, guaranteed top ten pick.

Advisory commitee likely told him to think 2nd or 3rd round. He should be the #1 QB next season.

I think this has very little to do with liking the college game.

Best case scenario for Brohm was that he was the third QB taken. That would probably put him in the mid to late first round and he will get multi year mid to late first round money. If he comes out next year, he is broke for one more year, but gets a MUCH bigger contract.

The difference between 1-5 and 15-25 is ENORMOUS. Big enough where this decision makes a lot sense and this is probably the one situation that I think it makes sense for a first round pick to return.

THere was no way he would vault Quinn and Russell.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

I think this was a no-brainer for Brohm. As everyone else has said, he'd be the third QB this year and a mid first rounder at best. Next year he should be the top QB and Louisville should be pretty good again with a shot at the title a possibility for them once more, even with a new head coach. Kragthorpe is pretty good, though the Big East is getting tougher.
