Saban to Bama

Unread postby pup » Wed Jan 03, 2007 11:51 am

CBS is reporting that Nick Saban is leaving Miami to take the job at Alabama. I guess we can't always take a coach for his word about prospective job openings :eek

Saban is a whore.

Someone should introduce him to Larry Brown (perhaps they already share an agent).
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Man, how long before Don Shula puts a contract out on Sabans life?

First his kid gets whacked at Bama, then Saban leaves his beloved Dolphins to kick dirt on his grave in Tuscaloosa.

Dolphins are going nowhere fast though. An OLD defense, and no QB. As much of a dick move as it is for Saban, it was the right move for him.

More money, more security, coaches on college campuses are gods, and he intimately knows and has recently succeeded in the SEC.

Sabans a good coach. Give him three years, and he'll have Bama back in the BCS mix.

Saban better eat his Wheaties because those SEC coaches are gonna be gunning for his ass.

Meyer, Spurrier, Tuberville, Saban, Fullmer, Miles, and Richt. The SEC has itself some ball coaches.

Q: How many Alabama fans does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

A: 80,001. One fan to change the light bulb 80,000 other fans to stand around and talk about how great the old light bulb was.
