Man, Buckeyes come out with a 9-0 run to start the 2nd half, tying the game at 38. Get outscored 47-22 the rest of the way.
Outside of that stretch to begin the 2nd, when Oden was dominant, Horford and Noah did a good job neutralizing him. Oden got that third foul with about 16 minutes left, went to the pine, and we just got SMOKED the rest of the way. Not only did Horford play, but he played well. Was great defensively, excellent on the boards, and got some buckets for them. He, Noah, and Brewer are all going to be excellent pro players.
Taurean Green and Corey Brewer ... did either of those guys miss a shot in the second half? They dropped dagger after dagger on us. We had no inside presence and got mauled on the boards with Oden out, and often with him in. Bucks didn't get Oden the ball enough on the block, when they did, he had a hard time catching it. He has bad hands, not sure how much of that is injury related.
This just in ... Florida is really damn good. Return their top 8 from last years title team. Its gonna take a Herculean effort to knock them off in the Big Dance.
Them, UNC, UCLA ... all look dominant. Buckeyes are clearly in that second tier.
What a disappointment today.
