Was looking at their future schedules. In all of them, of the 4 out of conference games every year, they'll play 3 creampuffs and one outstanding program (with the exception being Wash next year).
Here is the big out of conference game each year:
2007: at Washington
2008: at USC
2009: USC
2010: Miami, FL
2011: at Miami, FL
2012-2013: California (home and home)
2014-2015: Virginia Tech (home and home)
2016-2017: Oklahoma (home and home)

@ washington next year is the back end of a home and home that they scheduled long ago when Washington was a viable program.

Gotcha. So, this is the backend of the 1996 Washington game at the shoe?

backend of the 2003 game that was probably scheduled around 1996.
THat is kind of the problem. Back in 1996 or even 2003 it looked like Washington was going to be a perennial power in the Pac 10. Unfortunately it is hard to look that far forward. Who is to say that Bob Stoopes will be in Oklahoma 2016-17 or that they will be good? In any case, you have to give the Buckeyes a lot of credit for trying.

Yeah, but boy did they NAIL the USC one. Those are going to be two incredibly hyped games in 2008 and 2009.

Do you think Carroll will still be there in 08 and 09? I sort of don't. I think he will be in the NFL by then. THere are very strong persistent rumors that he could end up in Arizona at season's end, and there have always been rumors that he would take over a team in LA (if they ever get one again. Talks on that have stalled). I wonder also if Tressel will still be at OSU.

Carroll (and Tressell), would be an absolute moron to leave USC. Carroll already has done the NFL thing twice and failed....I believe he'll be in USC for a long time (like Tressell).
Now, Stoops is one I could see being lured to the NFL.
