Tony Lastoria's source was right:

Frankly, I'm excited, so I'll shut up before my karma latches onto his.

Dellucci went on the DL on June 20th, so that puts his return in late August as a best case scenario.

Looks like he won't be the LH bat to help out the platoon any time soon.
Cue that LH bat talk.

I like the Lewis move. Sounds like riding the hot hand to me.

In a sign of the times, the news slipped when he announced it on his Facebook page.

Holy @#$% Another name into the mix for this year and off season.

I'm only concerned that adding Jensen now means one less spot for a decision person after the season.

I really hope Jensen performs. Best of Luck Mr. Jensen Lewis!!!

He sometimes struggles a little with a promotion, so you might see first game jitters.

A ballsy move by the org. First year as a reliever, but had experience in college with it. Has been lights out at Akron and Buffalo. I asked Atkins about him tonight, and he said he has great deception and his changeup is an out pitch. Hottest pitcher in the system along with Laffey the last 45 days or so.

I have a feeling he won't choke in the majors if given a half dozen opportunities or so. Speaking of Laffey, he had an 11/3 GB/FB game last night. His peripheral numbers are downright remarkable.

Any observations on Jeanmar Gomez at Lake when you visited there?

Atkins mentioned that Laffey has made huge strides in developing his backdoor breaking ball....and if he is getting the calls on the corners the pitch is unhittable.

As for as Jeanmar Gomez goes.....I wasn't too impressed with him. Sort of wild, but did work his way out of a lot of jams and piled up some Ks. Big frame and lanky, so he can definitely grow into that body.

I love the move. This is the type of move, historically, this team has shyed away from ... sans Manuel's successful campaign for CC to start the team back in the ro.

Excited to see this kid pitch after reading about him in Tony's columns the last couple years.
