If anyone is interested.

Great little interview with Willie Mays, Jeter and Junior.

Stupidest promo contest ever.

Off-topic but Pup those are some pretty cool quotes in your sig right there.

I'm not a big all-star guy. The slam dunk or Durby is more fun to watch for me, and the only reason I'm tuning in is to see if CC can strikeout Bonds and because of homefield.

Thanks. It is pretty hard to pick a couple of favorite Woody quotes, but I thought both of those pretty much summed him up.

I don't like the Simpsons and I really don't favor them now. The Magglio thing about the hair was funny.

The Jeter Junior interview with Willie was wonderful. That was so cool.

I thought that it was sweet, that Sizemore was one of the few who smiled when he was introduced, and that Victor had his son with him. That was sweet.

The whole Willie Mays things is just amazing, especially right before the game. But there is too much star shine on Barroid. ESPN was all over him...there are more all stars people. and they took too much time after they introduced him...the fans didn't scream that much and seemed to calm down in time...I am just so over Barroid. I feel like his stinkin shine should not have over shined Willie.

I love the All-Star game. Im also one of those geeks that actually likes that it determines who gets homefield in the WS.

I watch so much Indians baseball, I see very few NL games. Its nice to see all baseballs stars on the same stage.

Also, its just great seeing the AL wax the NL every season.

Lets go AL. I got them to win. Grady to win MVP at 20-1. Carl Crawford to win MVP at 22-1.

On the Willie Mays deal. This is a shout out to Brett Favre, Evander Holyfield and the like, Here sits possibly the greatest player of all time, interviewed on All-Star night, and I can't speak for everyone, but there are a number of viewers out there, close to my age, that can't get the sight out of our heads of the guy stumbling under fly balls and being 10 seconds behind 85 mile an hour heaters in the early seventies.

The people that saw him young or never saw him at all, the guy will be immortal. What these guys need to understand is there is going to be a group of people, at a certain age level, that only remember Brett Favre throwing every other pass up for grabs. That's what makes it sad.

I might be a jerk for bringing it up, however, if I told you I was thinking about Willie Mays circa 1955, I'd be lying.

Wagner made Sizemore look stoopid.

But Vic made up for it with a 2-run HR.

5-2 AL. And this year it matters to us, because we actually have a shot at getting there.

As it stands right now, I think Ichiro is the MVP, unless the NL comes back to tie or take the lead.

I'm thinking Robbie Alcombrack instead. He'd be 29 in 2017. Max would be 32. :roll

But he's in the Brewers system =P.

PUTZ CLOSE THIS SHIT OUT.

Hell, who's the scrub from Baltimore who let Young on base on that error with two outs?

Well, thank god Vmart hit that dinger, or it would have been an NL walkoff.

If the AL wins it, I think Vmart has a shot on ASG MBP, but by the looks of it K-Rod is gonna walk to the bases loaded...

Damnit, Roberts. This is what we get for putting an Oriole in a game for stars.

Vic's blast won it, but I still say Ichiro's the MVP due to 3-3 and the inside the park HR.

ichiro is deserving, no doubt he had a great game... but Vmarts 2 run homer was the difference, therefor he should have got it

on other notes :

Martinez deserved to catch CC and play before posada .. what a joke !

that was Sizemores ball in RF and hunter was a douchebag and cut him off

grady took two fat pitches downt he middle and then swings at a ball at his head ... terrible all star AB

tony larussa is an idiot for not pinch hitting with pujols... i dont care if he has to play CF the next inning you let that man hit and try and win you the game

FWIW, Pujols has played LF and 3B before. I think he came up as a 3B and moved to left, before settling in at 1st. But yeah, he has to be hitting in that situation.

The fact that Tony LaRussa loves to remind everyone that he is smarter than they probably was a factor in this.
