We have plenty of pitching. Sabathia is golden, Fausto is great, Byrd is solid, and Westbrook is pretty good since coming back. Lee isn't even all that bad, he came off a great start.

Apparently pitchers are expected to be on their A game EVERY start, and never be able to slipup once an awhile. 9k's isn't good enough, Lee should be sent back down to the minors. 12 wins is too low, he should get a CG win every start. We should just cut C.C.

Atleast he's settling down more, now. Working much quicker at the mound, 1-2-3 inning. Let's pull off another come-from-behind.

Cabrera looks like shit. 3 guys in our pen look like crap. Manning says "the bullpen is gonna be a concern in the 2nd half." Concern my butt. It's an open sore.

All I know is that Trot Nixon better be the greatest clubhouse guy in the history of baseball. That guy better cook, clean and cure freakin' cancer out of that clubhouse because as a hitter at this point he's absolute horseshit.

But damn fellas, they have the 3rd best record in baseball and their starters have been very good all year. They've tripped a bit in the last 4 days which highlights how shaky the long guys are. But there aren't a whole lot of lock down long guys out there and when they can get the game to Perez, Bettancourt and (making the sign of the cross) Borowski, they've been excellent.

Win a game or two up north and rest up for what should at least be some meaningful late summer ball.

That catch in the 9th was an omen.

Prepare yourselves, the 2nd half is gonna be hell.

They've got some big concerns for the second half.

The bullpen

Paul Byrd is not solid. He was the easiest guy to hit in the league the first half of the year. He was fortunate and lucky, not solid. He is D-O-N-E.

Peralta still can't play short. A thread previously talked about how the Tigers weren't going to run and hide. I agree, they've got some deficiencies. So, that would lead me to believe not too many games are going to seperate the teams in this division by years end. Well ,if Peralta gives away a game here or there thru the course of the year and you lose the division by a couple games.....

Corner outfield.

Robin Williams is funny too. I wouldn't want him getting 4 swings a night either.

The guy that really needs to pull it together is Hafner. You keep waiting for that 4 game period where he homers 5 times, hits the ball hard to all fields and can carry a team for a week at a time. Haven't seen it yet and no sign that it's coming either.
