When he first came to the Indians as a young player in the trade that saw us send Ryan Drese and Einar Diaz to Texas for him, someone on the team said he was "half project, half donkey".

Bill Selby - the man who once hit a walk-off home run (was it a grand slam?) off Mariano Rivera...a game in which my family was getting tired so we left early. I will never stop thinking about that horrific day.

Yes it was a grand slam, just inside the right field foul pole, I was fishing for perch out in the middle of Lake Erie, great call by Hamilton.

Selby is god.
