Lee strikes out 5 of the first 6 and gives up a solo homer.

Say what you will about these Indians hitters, they may strike out alot, but they sure do see a lot of pitchs. I cannot remember the last time I saw an opposing pitcher get through the 5th or 6th without throwing a lot of pitches.

Today is a perfect example. The tribe is fanning at the cyclic rate, but Shields has thrown 75 pitches through 4 to get that done. The one fault of most teams "Aces" is that they have a pitch count (like every pitcher in the league) and if you can make them throw a lot of balls they leave early, exposing a teams soft underbelly (the bullpen).

I love that about this team.
Coming from a Wolverine, we're the football equivalent of a formerly abused wife of a meth addict who just remarried the safe nice guy. We're just glad we have someone who's aware that it's a rivalry and that tackling on defense is integral. Baby steps.

Big pat on the back to Cliff Lee. Great game for Cliffy. It seems as if he is back on track and that is fabulous for us.

Boy, how big was that 2-out RBI single by Grady? Good thing we got that one, lol.
