According to CBS Sportsline, Joe Blanton just ate Paul Byrd

Byrd actually has been fine since he settled down. Looks like another quality start. The guy is a 4th/5th starter I think we can cut him some slack. He isn't expected to mow them down.

Are issue is consistency at the plate. Frankly I just don't get Blake sitting today unless he is hurt. Rouse stinks. Also would it have hurt to leave Gut in another night after he hit a homer, or at least give Francisco a start?

I just don't get how Gut and Francisco are labeled by Wedge as "4th outfielders" for now and in the future yet we have Nixon & Michaels out there manning the positions right now.

I hate games like today. Before they even start, I see the lineup card and I hate them.

seriously. wtf. wedge dinks with the lineup too much. Rouse plays way too much.
