That's sweet. Those are some pretty detailed records of your visits to the Jake.

Some great games you attended. I remember the 11-1 and 17-2 playoff wins over the BoSox and Mariners. The only game we won in the '95 WS. Alot of games during that magical 1995 year where we won like 12 home games on walk offs.

Very cool bowl.

Plus, Steve Woodard entered the game @ 2-10 and beat Pedro!

PNC is nice, Fenway is great, but Wrigley is my all time favorite, that atmosphere can't be beat.

Cleveland Municipal Stadium is also nice:

I have every ticket stub from every Indians game I've ever been to, save maybe a couple lost ones from my party years, which coincided with the good days of the Flats in the mid 90's.

Id estimate I've been to an average of about 8 games a year since 1983. Right around 200 games.

One of these days, when I have time, I plan on doing something cool with the stubs, putting together some kind of data like bowl did.

I kept a journal on my old computer in 1994 and 1995 of all the games I went to, who hit the HRs and who won the game. Nice to see someone else had the same crazy idea! Of course, I don't know what the hell I ever did with the floppy I stored it on. :eek

So your the guy I sit next to every game I go to that uses the program to score the game. I must say I am impressed, mostly b/c you do so in pen.

This is a pretty amazing post. As I was reading through it, my mouth kept dropping and I was short on breath because of it's perfection. It's like I staring into the face of God.

Okay, that was a little much, but it was still great to look at. You've inspired me to do the same, or at least something similar. I'll have to go back and look at all the tickets I've saved (I try to save the ticket from every single game I attend), but it's completely worth it.

5-19-99, vs White Sox, W 13-7 - Comiskey Park

Duuuuude, I was at Comiskey the night before. We swamped the White Sox 13-0 that night. Killed them that series.

Nice post, brother.

GREAT POST!

I cannot match the uncanny detailing of that, but me living a thousand miles away, I'll recall each of my visits:

Aug, 1990 (first visit to Municipal)
WP - Tom Candiotti
LP - Jack Morris
*Mitch Webster hits a grand slam and Alex Cole steals three bases in the Fri night game
* Tribe goes 3-0 and sweeps Tigers. I was 12 at the time, so not a whole lot of details, but I did see a trio of fossils pitch for the Tigers (Morris, Terrell, Petry)
** Saw a rookie for Detroit named Travis Fryman hit a 3R homer...along with the tail ends of careers from Allen Trammel and Sweet Lou Whitaker.

August 14 and 15, 1992 - Cleveland vs. Toronto

We lost Fri night game and split a DH the following day vs. them.
Bluejays threw Dave Stieb, Todd Stottlemyer, and ?. Cleveland threw Nagy, Dave Otto, and ? Don't remember much else. Otto, all 6'8" of him, stunk it up. The Bluejays were bad to the bone and we were very inconsistent in every way possible.

July, 16-19th, 1993 - Clevalnd vs. Angels (3 out of 4 games) and Oakland for one game. We won all four of these games and sw the beginning of the future starting to come together. Todd Van Poppel picthed for the A's on Monday night. Cleve hit many HR's throughtout my stay - Belle, Sorrento, Baerga, Kirby, and a young Thome all yarded.

Did not go back to Cleveland until last year on May 29th and saw us beat Chi Sox in the last 3 games out of 4 (missed the opener thank God). Best game was the last one when Ronnie Belliard hit a go ahead HR to Homerun porch in a slugfest. Saw the ESPN Tue night game where CC got the win. Westbrook outdueled Garcia the next night. This was my first time to see the jake and it was simply magnificent.

And saw a nice 2 series homestand just a few weeks ago - Det and KC. We went 4-3 and I saw the amazing Fri night comeback game. I also enjoyed seeing CC go the distance. 7 games in a row was definitely a great experience.

Cleveland people - be thankful and never take the jake for granted. I spend a paycheck once a year just to make the trip and enjoy Cleveland.

I have been to Municipal, The Jake, old Arlington Stadium, The ballpark in Arlington, Yankee Stadium, Fenway Park, and Tropicana Field. They were all great. Fenway was the most nostalgiac for some reason. The Ballpark in Arlington is very cozy and you are bound to see some hitting games.

Wow, bowl, my brain hurts...

Seriously, thats a rather impressive list.

I've been to Old Riverfront, Wrigley, Old Muny. (Dunn Tire Park and the Aeros stadiums)

Most memorable has to been in 95' on Sept. 8th whe Jeff Huson popped out to Thome to clinch the Division Title on my 13th Birthday. Awesome.

All that aside, Bowl, touche to you.

bowl,

home winning % .65517214138
away .47222222222

As a true blue Tribe fan I must encourage you to attend as many home games, including playoffs as possible; but we must work on that "road mojo" in the off season.
