You are living in dreamland..there is no way the Yankees would make that deal. Since when does New York want prospects?? They just buy the established stars they want. This deal would never happen in a million years.

When was the last time the Bankees threw in the towel? Why in the world would they give up on their season by making this trade?

The only trades they'll make are the usual ones of trading prospects for vets who they think will help them win now.

Besides, anyone think we'll trade much of our future plus take on approx 15M of salary this year just to watch both A-Rod & Rivera walk away this winter?

When was the last major trade the Tribe made during the season? 2002.

Shapiro's pattern says he probably won't make a major move.

He is constrained during the season. He only makes minor trades. It's very unlikely he'll make a blockbuster in mid-season. But don't let that stop you, feel free to dream on.

See what I started?

How about Cabrera and Armando Benitez for Marte,Gutierrez and Slocumb?

At least I was talking about 2 guys in walk years from a team that is in a double digit deficit in their division.

I'm not looking for the best overall hitter in the NL for free.

Let me explain myself.

I am of the opinion that any trade talked about on here is not going to happen, so all of them are as far fetched as this one.

Shapiro will not make the necesarry moves to improve this team at or before the deadline.

You tricky, tricky, character. I agree that Shapiro won't make the moves, but some of the trades suggested on this forum are at least somewhat akin to realistic.

I think Shapiro will pull a trade, but not a blockbuster type deal. One that I don't think is too unreasonable is Jeremy Sowers and a bullpen arm for Chad Corderro.

That reminds me when me and my buddy used to crank Reggie Rucker's radio show and bring up some really fucked up trade proposals. Of course we taped them. I wish we can find them now.

Pup, I agree with you that your proposal would never happen. Odd way to approach a trade discussion, but very creative.

I think Shap won't do any more than a marginal deal, meaning nothing involving Lofgren or Miller.

Nahh, it's a lot farther.

I can see the sun. I can't see any of these trades going down.

Sometimes it gets a little boring in cyberworld and something needs to be done to change the course of conversations.

But if the Yankees are 15 out on July 29th... :P :-P
