Not starting to good for Carmona...Runners at the corners, no outs.

Edit- And Zimmerman just blew up a bat.

Edit 2- Now he's got his sinker goin'...That shit is nasty...

Edit Tres- Wow. He got out of the 1st totally unharmed. Carmona is like a ninja.

I hope it sticks. I'm already printing T-Shirts.

Did you see his at bat though? He swung about 3 minutes too late, looked back at the dugout, giggled, and then continued to miss pitches by an hour.

True.

We don't want him to hurt his arm hitting, so he can't throw his Shurikens.

I mean sinkers.

Can't argue with putting in Hafner in that situation. It does suck, however, that we cannot get our real life version of Pedro Cerrano to hit. Hafner is this year's version of 2006 Peralta with fewer K's.

And in other news, Trot Nixon is really getting stale. Well, that's not news.

yep

whats hafner been doing ?

nothing

this team is atrocius !

cant move runners over... cant hit period ..... we are playing one of the worst teams in baseball and we cant even score more then 1 run .... i know i will hear all sort of excuses

flat out we cant hit !

Grady needs to get his head out of his A$$
Hafner dont even get me started
Nixon is about as good as my 5 yr old cousin (thats not saying anything good)
Dellucci, thank god he is out of the lineup for 8 weeks
Garko has been struggling lately but he will be fine

Peralta has been very good for us
VMart has been our MVP, without him we would be right with the whitesox in the standings
Gutierrez might not be the greatest hitter, but at least he plays defense and he utilizes his speed
Shoppach has been great as a backup

I would solve all of your offensive problems and be the best thing to happen to Grady. Ever. Let's talk! It's doable.

Sincerely,

Carl Crawford.

we would love to have him leadoff !

Grady is not a leadoff hitter.... he has the speed of a leadoff hitter... but he is more of a 2 or 3 hitter and wedge and shapiro need to figure that out and go get a corner outfielder who can hit for average has a little power and can leadoff .... aka Carl Crawford

wishful thinking, but our GM and Manager are to stpid to realize this

"I think it's a process of us working ourselves back offensively," Wedge said. "You're seeing us score runs, it's just more sporadic. But at least we are having games and putting innings together where we are scoring some runs. It's just not as consistent as we need it to be -- or as it is ultimately going to be."

wedge your a moron and you need to teach your boys how to hit !

we have a dipS**t for a manager..... why is he still the manager of this team

i would kill for Buck Showalter to come down from helping shapiro, and start running this team !

Andrew Friedman, Tampa Bay GM.

I missed the game on TV last night, but looking back at the box score and game log.....did Wedge really insert Hafner to PH for Garko with one out and the bases loaded in the FIFTH INNING?

Someone explain this to me. So, you substitute struggling hitter with....and even MORE struggling hitter. And in the 5th freaking inning nonetheless. You let Garko hit there, and save Hafner for later in the game to PH for the pitcher. THAT was assinine.

You HAVE to be from the indians.com board. They say things like that over there too.

Yes, Grady strikes out WAYYYY too much. But he hardly has had his head in his ass. He has been one of the few guys hitting in June, as he has hit .317 in this month.

I don't know what some of you people expect from him. He isn't much off from where he was last year. Average is just about where it was, OBP is better, walks are better, SBs are better, runs scored are about the same, Ks look like they will end up pretty much the same (maybe a tiny bit (5-10) higher, but not exponentially higher as some of you seem to act like) if he continues on this pace, and his RBIs should be about the same. 2B, 3B aren't as high as last year, yet he is still getting on base and scoring a lot of runs.

I'm sure we'd all love him to strike out less, that is a given. But don't act like he's done nothing.

He leads the team in runs scored, leads the team in hits, 3rd in 2B, T-2nd in 3B, 3rd in HR, 2nd in TB (2 behind VMart,) 2nd in BB, 1st in SB, 2nd in OBP only behind Shoppach, 5th in Avg (Shoppach, VMart, Garko, Peralta,) and 3rd in OPS (Shoppach, VMart.)
