If Miller recovers from the strained tendon in his right middle finger, Shapiro said he may get a chance to pitch in the bullpen in middle or late relief this season.

Shapiro is still looking for an "experienced and successful" late-inning reliever. He said if a reliever isn't available, he might look for offensive help.

THis is the first time I have ever heard them talk of uing Miller in the bullpen.

Obviously, this would just be temporary and a means to get him here this year and help us. I'd be fine with using Miller out of the bullpen the last two months of the season.

ALso, as I mentioned yesterday in MH, Miller will initially pitch out of the Buffalo bullpen as he gets back into game shape. He'll get about 3-4 appearances there......hmmm, this could be something to monitor, as I am sure the Indians will as well to see him not only get back to full speed but how he handles the temp bullpen role.
