OT - So they Yankees were lookin' good for a bit...

...then they got swept by the Rockies. Only 2 runs in the first 2 games? And then only 3 in the last? Ouch.

In their defense, the Rockies are white hot.

I'm just glad to see after all teh Roger watch and all that garbage for him to show exactly what he is in the AL and even now a 4th starter with average stuff unless he gets an extra 3-4 inches of the plate. When you call this guy like everyone else he has been average the last 4 seasons.

The Bankees are now 10 1/2 out. Clemens ain't the savior they thought he would be. Their hopes are sinking fast.

But Boston will be a tough opponent in the playoffs. Their bullpen is airtight, one of the best in MLB. Starters are very good too. Not a team that anyone looks forward to facing.

Nope. It's a case of hoping you don't play them first. They're very tough, but you never know. As it stands, the Tigers would play the Red Sox first. That's no easy out or the Red Sox.

The four teams in the playoff spots now could each win the AL Pennant. All four are good and all four look better on paper than the competing teams from the NL.
