Sosa hits 600th

Unread postby Steve Buffum » Wed Jun 20, 2007 10:51 pm

Solo shot, 5th inning at home against the Cubs. Kind poetic, that.

yes, we should.

Oh and Sosa hit it off Jason Marquis, who wears Sammy's old number 21 jersey. Pretty cool.

Well, if we can do a Hafner for Hughes deal, and then bring in Sosa I would be for it.

My only issue with bringing in Sammy is, what if he gets caught this time?

How many of those 600 do you think are legit?

I'd say about 350-400.

Plus with our luck he would get caught.

Sosa wouldn't be a bad option to plug in our line-up and one of the corner OF positions.

On a side note, ill be willing to bet half of those 600 homers are tainted, either with a corked bat, or a corked bicep.

The ESPN question of the night was simple: Is Sammy Sosa a Hall of Famer?

The answer: When I checked, 65% yes. What does that mean? NO. It takes 75% of the vote to get elected, so America declines Sosa a Hall ticket. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Sosa is a HOFer. I don't care if he was on steroids or not, he hit 600 HRs.

You do not dis the game and get in. It is simple. If Sosa gets in, you might as well close the doors to Cooperstown.

Bonds and McGwire were at least good before Roids. Sosa would have been out of the league 10 years ago without them. He is a stiff who hit a bunch of cork/roid/wind aided home runs.

Sosa's use of roids is even clearer than Clemens..... Pup is correct, you let a clown like that in and it ends all arguments. Bonds first ballot, McGwire in with a special pro-rated ticket etc.... As big a fraud as there ever was.
