Here's our lineup:

G. Sizemore cf
J. Michaels lf
C. Blake 3b
V. Martinez c
J. Peralta ss
R. Garko 1b
T. Nixon dh
F. Gutierrez rf
J. Barfield 2b

So . . . they're throwing a righty and both Hafner and Dellucci are going to sit today? Interesting.

Now I see why: RHBs are hitting .307 against Davies, LHBs .235.

Let's give Wedge a round of applause for glancing at the stat sheet.

Although how about Shoppach as DH?

Franklin Gutierrez has quietly been playing pretty well lately.

Carmona is just awesome again, and deserves to pitch in the All Star game. I love the way he pitches to the outside/inside corner, and keeps his pitches low. He had them pounding the ball in the ground until the 8th inning.

Can't say enough about Michaels and Sizemore and their stunning catches. They should be Webgems, if Baseball Tonight can get their heads out of the Yankees bungholes long enough to show them.

This was a game we really needed, with the Tigers winning today. Next up is the Phillies, who should be beatable.

Good win today. They needed this one.

Now tomorrow should be tough. The Phillies are a good hitting ballclub and with Lee pitching it could end up being like bp. The Phils are sending out Cole Hamels, and he is a stud. And a lefty to boot. Hopefully we can get something going against him.

definitely not a good way to help an ailing offense.

Hopefully Lee can step it up

It may just be optimism, but I think that things are starting to get better for Cliff. In his last start, he had just one really bad inning, and seemed to pitch okay the rest of the game. And in that loss to Cincinnati, he made a few mistakes, and except for that pitched well.
