Is Cliff Lee even healthy?

Unread postby FUDU » Wed Jun 13, 2007 7:49 pm

He was never consistently so hittable was he?

I have to wonder if he was rushed back or if he is not being honest with the team.

I just remember seeing so much promise from him not too long ago.

I'll tell you what....thank God for Carmona. Imagine the world of hurt we'd be in without him stepping up?

Sowers, Lee and Westbrook all sucking are really holding this team back. If those guys just pitch to career averages, we could be running away from the division.

And man, Adam Miller's injury was poorly timed. He'd be here now, I am sure of it, had he not gotten hurt.

Lee looks horrible. Having Westbrook and Miller out at the same time is hurting us bad. I'm a huge Cliff backer, but watching him throw in the dirt on a couple of 2-0 and 2-1 counts is sickening.

Three earned runs in five innings. The previous start he went six innings and gave up four runs. Those are typical Cliff Lee starts. He is what he is, a decent #4 starter, maybe #3 when he gets rolling. What is everybody crying about?

Last year Lee was 14-11 with a 4.40 ERA. I think that's a normal season for him. The year before that he posted a career best 3.79 ERA and went 18-5, but I think that was an anomaly. I'd like to see him get a little sharper and start going six innngs with 2-3 earned runs, which is what you get from him when he's on top of his game.

Well Cliff was only at like 91 pitches last night, and was pulled because he was up to bat. He could have easily have gone 6.

He also left a guy in scoring position in every inning, he could easily have given up more runs in a 6th inning.
